When it comes to choosing a color for walleyes, sometimes it really doesn’t seem to matter at all, but other times, getting that color dialed in can be a true game changer! I like to keep it simple and categorize my colors into a few distinct color groups and dial it in from there.

I normally target catfish and smallies but last winter I acquired several hundreds of dollars worth of jigs and lures and other stuff for walleye from a dude having a fire sale (all for only $20). Always hated losing lures and such but I now literally have enough to last me a lifetime so I'm going to give 'er a go hard this summer as I found the river I fish was stocked with walleye a few years ago and some friends landed some dandies last summer. Your info has got me even more pumped to put all that gear to use!!! Just waiting for Saturday for the season to kick off!!
