Great video. Glad you explained the importance of the rod action. Allot of anglers think they need a broomstick xxh action rod to punch. Love this technique. Softer rod tip is so much better.

I may go through more baits but I know for a fact my hook up to land is better with an EWG the a straight shank when I’m flipping. Just preference I guess. I just feel like I keep em pinned way better even on sketchy hooks sets with a ewg.

It's all about results! If you're having great results with the EWG then that's awesome!!! I use an EWG style too when fishing wood.

Im curious, I’m 5’6” and was wondering if the Megabass Aklys (especially in the Orochi XX models) would be in the conversation for flipping/punching thick matted to thin matted vegetation or pads. Didn’t see it on the list but was just wondering. Would love more info about the Aklys line in the Megabass rods.

Love the videos guys it would be nice to afford the high end stuff but hard for the everyday fisherman to use 300 to 400 dollar rods and reels. But I still love the videos as I get a lot of information from the baits and rigging methods.

@@thehookuptackle_usa yea I really like the truth about the videos and really I like the in depth information you guys give it’s so different the what’s out there. In my case my fishing rods and reels I usually have to buy one thing at a time and I’m trying my best to stay around or below 130 for a rod and same for the reel. I use the Daiwa Tatula 100’s but I usually buy the preowned or when Amazon has them for a cheaper price that way I don’t have to pay retail and it’s not that I don’t want to I just can’t justify it or afford it tbh as a father of 2 those high end items are just not in my card right now. I try to buy the best I can get for what I’m comfortable spending haha. But all in all I love the videos and it’s a fun channel to watch.

All depends on the size of the fish and how they eat it. Could be, but I've also got multiples on one bait, so it could be anything.
