Great! In 2011 I was in LA and went into a comic store which just happened to have Keven Eastman’s art studio inside it! I did not see anyone and walked around and found a glass case with these costume turtle heads! Then Keven walks in and I got a photo with him. Very friendly! I had not watched this show before!

I mean, I kinda love trash like this though. Put on the subtitles and put it on in the background at a holiday party while you play a good holiday music playlist.... people will find it fun to laugh at.

My brother actually took me to a Turtle concert. It was a lot of fun for a Turtle fanatic like me at the time. The concert was also when my brain was forced to acknowledge that the Turtles were not real and my name was not Donatello.

Did you know there is a _sequel_ to this? It's called Turtle Tunes where the Turtles try and put on their own TV show (mainly to copyright free nursery rhyme music). The production is SO cheap that they use the exact same closing credits for both the Xmas special and Turtle Tunes (if you look very closely you can see the credits mention a Ninja who never shows up, and in Turtle Tunes there is a credit for Santa Claus even though that special clearly takes place in the middle of summer)

Actually that's a common misconception with these musical TMNT films and shows. You see, apparently it's a continuity all of its own, in fact the backstory is some sort of strange amalgamation between the 1987 cartoon and the 1990 movie. This is actually even addressed in Phelan Porteous review of TMNT Coming out of Their Shells. Even in this universe Baxter Stockman remains a human. And I'm pretty sure the age order of the turtles was changed in this one as well.

Btw all tmnt properties are part of tmnt multiverse. THIS IS ONE OF THEM!

Regarding the Turtles and their teeth: Nostalgia Critic did a vid on Barney the Dinosaur and how exposing the teeth has an unpleasant effect on the audience. Also, as a comic book guy, you've probably noticed how pencilers (like Jim Lee) don't draw individual teeth but instead hint at them with a white mass when their characters are baring them in a fight expression unless it's for specific / dramatic effect.
