Hi shooey, glad you got it working with the pc. That’s the problem when lots of things are changed, not knowing which one did it. The headset does look like a beast, not as heavy as it looks

Good review and I think you hit the point of the Crystal (for flight and racing sims). Couple things though: 1) that foam bracket you have on your head strap is actually just packing material (Pimax included it in the box after early adopters reported damage to the battery cable in shipping, the foam bracket apparently helped with that); 2) someone needs to do a review of the Crystal mentioning the far-from-ideal sound quality of the headset without the DMAS speakers.

What gpu do you have? I’m getting a crystal soon and I have a rtx 3080ti didn’t know if that was good enough for an enjoyable experience as I play the same types of games you do like blade and sorcery beat saber and stuff like that

Please do not put your back strap first, this is VR and not diving goggles. Always put your front part first (face part), to preserve your lenses clean. Many people do it wrong. "Sadly it´s Bradly" was wearing his unit on his forehead for one youtube video, it was annoying just to watch it... PS: when taking off your HMD, then do opposite from putting on: first remove back part, and then front part (HMD)

Do you ever think maybe there's a reason some people do it back first? It might be better to do front first, but not for everyone buddy. Also go back a year or 2 in my channel. I wear the headset on my forehead all the time lol

@@PowerOnVR Ok, if you said so, then it is working for you. Also with glasses... My 8kx was 2 times damaged from inside, when my guests tried to pull hmd up to take it off. Some fiber was damaged, had to glue it again. And lenses were mess then.

To be honest, if I had spent that much on a headset, I wouldn't pick up a Pico or Quest instead of the Crystal even if I wanted to! The Crystal is too much more money for not enough gain and too many R&D issues. And then there's that lack of support when you do have issues....and before anyone says anything, yes they are a lot worse than other companies in this respect.

Pimax Crystal = Buyer be Ware: I have had so much trouble with the Pimax, having firstly wated 2 moths for delivery when I was assured one month, now the set won’t work properly despite having spent many hours of my own time and almost a full day with a Pimax technician remote and still no results. Further it is plain to see that the product is very cheaply constructed, clips a very week and with continued use this will lead to quick degradation and product failure. Pimax has added a lot of feature into this device, remember if it sounds to good to be true it usually is, lots of things to go wrong.

There are a certain percent of defective devices, no matter what the product is. Consumer electronics are complex. You are just taking it personally and now claiming this is somehow special to Pimax.
