We've imploded a top five program and we're going to start new with a guy who's been to five sweet 16s in 21 years. He's missed or been out of the tournament by the first weekend in 8 of the last 11 years. Somehow lots of fans think he was the guy when is numbers are way worse than the one they just chased off.

Kentucky fan here. Watching this, I feel for you guys. It seems you really love the guy. That's good for Kentucky, but it sucks for y'all if your coach gets poached. Loved hearing Cam talk about what a great person Scott is. Well, maybe Hurley (A well-known jerk, lol) will change his mind, Kentucky will get him, and you get to keep your guy. Good luck to you guys

Kentucky guy here. I think he’s a good hire if it happens. Here’s why….. Here is the problems we have with Cal #1 not a good X&O coach. He’s stubborn and won’t change his game plan. Many crucial games have been lost because he got out coached. Scott Drew is a good in game coach and gets more out of less talent than Cal. #2 Cal had NO relationship with the university. Him and Mitch didn’t like one another at all. And that did affect us more than most realizes. Mitch and Scott already has a good relationship #3 Cals attitude towards the fans. At first he talked a good game. But the used car salesman that he is came out. He was so distant from the local media and fan base that I’m not sure he knew just how unwelcome he was becoming. I could be wrong but I feel Scott would appreciate the passion of the fans that comes along with the job. #4 We are basically a G League. I mean Cal had a first round pick sitting on the bench a while back and never played him once!!! He basically practiced a year for the NBA. Almost ANY other coach in America would be opposite of what Cal does.

UK fan here. I have heard that Scott Drew is very very high on the list and is friends with UK's AD, Barnhart. I also heard that Barnhart may be going to make a very good offer to Hurley first, but I don't think Hurley would leave UConn. I would hate to see Drew leave Baylor but feel that if he is offered the job at UK, he may very well take it. He is a really good coach and I believe he would do well with any program, especially KY. We will probably know something by the end of this week. Best of luck to all.

You guys gotta think. As a UK fan i want Hurley forst but what Drew has done at Baylor is amazing. Baylor was pretty much a bottom team power 5 team and he took them where they needed to go. Now imagine the same plan with UKs NIL, and resorces. Having Drew as the backup plan is not a bad position to be in by any strech.

Hurley would definitely fair better. I’ve always felt what sets Drew apart from a lot of coaches is his ability to craft a team identity with less optimal recruits or transfers and instead chooses to develop. I think Hurley’s technicality and knowledge of the game would better suited Kentucky’s ability to reload and make deep runs every year. Whereas Drew can nurture a mature team for consistent tournament play. Just some observations I made, this most recent season kind of being an outlier of course.

For every 'bitch and complain' tweet and youtube comment I've read, I've also seen way more lovely Cal stories, antidotes, and memories! Fans put a lovely sign thanking him in his yard. I think when he comes into Rupp the fans will show him love, unlike Pitino who burnt the bridges and pissed on his tenure at UK by taking the UL job & leaking anti UK shit to the media for his benefit, and being dismissive of Tubby, etc. Im sure we'll get pissed when he poaches our players and recruits but he has to win at Arkansas so what else can he do. And it's not like we didnt just completely steal the entire VTech's woman's basketball program and will be doing the same to whatever school UK's next coach originated from.

Drew is a God at Baylor, and the school will get close to the Ky offer, and Scott will stay at Baylor. Reports say Donavan's coming to Ky for a meeting with Mitch, see what happens with that, If Billy don't work out, I think we end up with maybe 4 year deal with Pearl, that will give KY time to find a better long term fit.

I think the reason he's not a popular choice for Kentucky fans is because he's not flashy person; he's kind of plain and boring. He will have the resources at Kentucky he doesn't have at Baylor. I believe he will bring the program back away from the one and done.

They actually have been embarrassed on coaching searches before. Rick Pitino was their third choice. Billy Gillispie was quite a few down the list after they ran Tubby out on a rail. Billy Donovan has turned them down twice. Not that should make you feel any better.

That’s what all fans think and feel. We understand that it may not happen. But come on… he was suppose to be the best coach of all time with the best recruits and couldn’t even get past the first round…and this has been going on for years… so yes fans have the right to be pi**ed.

Most Kentucky fans are not nuts. They're are some, so I understand where you're coming from but for the most part, Kentucky fans are good people who know the game and they really just want to be in the discussion of the teams who have a legitimate shot at cutting down the nets each season.

Kentucky fans do not think we should be in the final four every year. What we do think is we should have a CHANCE to be in a final four every year.

No we don't. But we do expect to get better results than what we've been getting for the last 5-6 years. Cal prides himself on draft picks. Not tournament wins. That won't fly here. Again, we don't expect a final four or a title every year, but we do expect a lot more than what we've been getting.

Kentucky fans should be celebrating the opportunity to get an accomplished coach who’s overachieved and won a title at a formerly terrible program. How is that bad? Would they rather have a sleazebag like Bruce pearl? What’s their problem with Drew? EVERYONE ELSE WHO MATTERS HAS SAID NO.

One final.four in 21 years....definitely doesn't have the swag for here, don't like his coaching style.....hes a good fit for Baylor not here, and if mitch barnhart loves you toure definitely the wrong guy....barnhart didn't want cal.who was the perfect hire at the time...if he is the guy he WILL be run out of town in 1 to 3 Yeats, the fanbase will not be happy at all
