O M G ! ! ! Had a Super Sabre in early '88 as a 10 year old kid, been waiting for this one for a wee while as I'm 46 now. Managed to get an old Boomerang a few years ago and source all the red bits at great time and expense but it will be so good to build one from a kit again.

With the Boomer & the Super Sabre rere's, looking forward to restoring my original Sabre, my second ever hobby grade RC car I raced, 1st one I bought & my dad built. (1st was The Falcon, built by another racer, and a Christmas gift)

My current race cars are all PR Racing, (4wd, 2wd, shortcourse and stadium truck) all great racers. Really looking forward to the RM as I had started looking at scratch building a rear motor buggy out of my S1v3 Evo and older v2 gearboxes. PR are really good with upgrades between generations of their platforms, being able to swap out a few parts to get previous years upto spec of most recent releases, and parts shared between their different chassis.

From limited pics currently around, I'm thinking that the RM is the S1v2 re-re with a classic looking shell. I'm kinda hoping that they have changed the arm mount system to the v4 pill system at the rear and separate caster kick plate on the front... means less tuning parts for me to carry.. but even if they haven't should still be able to swap stuff around and at least use the rear pill system.

PR Racing used to be big in the UK when inside line had a race team, it’s back with Rennicks Model Tune and Evolution Models, great quality and cheap too

Pr make some great modern buggys and a few of the drivers at are club run pr, i still dont understand the modern rear motor cars coming out, but. There are a few races that allow rear motor cars 99 onwards. So there are some places these can be used on track still 😁

I'm happy to see the Tamiya Mitsubishi Pajero being rereleased. I'm probably going to buy two of them, one I'll lower with some grasshopper parts and decals on the body to match the original. Then the other I plan on building up with the big lunch box wheels and tires.

Thx for info 👍Fiat 131 for me as I have yet to have a MF01X. A bit of warning, the red shocks on the rere Super Sabre are new type and not 100% esthetically the same as 80's Super Sabre and Hotshot 2 😉 Probably won't notice the difference at a distance but a purist will see it 😊

Love the Squash Van, that is classic Tamiya randomness they do so well. Great that it has the Blackfoot tyres on it,.will be interesting to see how it runs on that chassis. Tamiya really need to bring back a TRF standard car though. Imagine a new 4WD full carbon race buggy from them. I would snap that up :)

I love rally cars. That Fiat is badass and the MF-01X chassis is a good price point for beginners like me that don't want a TT-02 that doesn't rally well.

Hi Gav, must admit I’d of left getting a boomerang if I’d know the Sabre was coming out , but hey ho I’ll just have to get both ;) love the squash van especially the body , hate the name of it. Looking forward to the JJ Ultima, may get the PR as well but I doubt it will be much difference to a Genova or dirt master as most 2wd rear motor buggy’s are pretty similar , but I’ll probs my concede and get one as I like the style of buggy plus these are ideal for rear motor class racing which is happening more and more now. Cheers for the video ;)

Sabre said s a cool one. It’s a painted body so not sure if that will put you off or not. Squash Van is getting a strong positive response from people. I’m excited to try and fit it on a Lunchbox or CC02 just for fun. I’m super excited for the PR buggy, that’s one for me for sure. How you and the family are doing well? 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Just got the MB-01 Fiat Abarth 1000, looks really nice and I love the chassis. Just waiting on a paint order as I want to do something different to the box art. Love the fact you can change the cahssis around to extend the wheel base and the different motor configs..

I remember my father gave me the hornet back in 1994 i was about 11 had no clue what i had but i was most impressive car at that time for electric i beat the living crap it was 2wd obvious but she could fly and sting like the hornet grasshopper same but so excited cant please keep us updated thanks so much

The GF-02 has never been seen before; it's a new chassis variant. Obviously we expect it to be based on the GF-01 and is likely filling in the role of the twin-motor WR-01.

I believe the new Fiat abarth 131 doesn't use the MB--01 is the wheel stance and chassi size. the Fiat 600 is much smaller than the 131 and the MB-01 chassi doesn't extend far enough to properly respresent the 131. I doubt the bodys are interchangeable.

Squash van unfortunately comes with friction dampers. WHY! Lol! If your going to make a parts tree for friction dampers and include springs is it really asking for that much more? Hope they change their mind.

Are there any stronger and reliable diff units for the Super Saber? Am I the only one who feels underwhelmed with the stock unit that goes crunch-crunch-crunch? Tamiya should not make a re-release without fixing this flaw.

Super Sabre, Super Sabre, Super Sabre. Hope they don't limit the numbers. Curious if they'll do improvements on the CW-01 chassis. These tiny wheels might be not a guarantee for wheelies. But maybe there'll be new oil filled shocks.

I like the look of the Squash Van, but what an awful name! As for the rest, I am interested in the PR Racing 2WD buggy, love the retro/modern look of this one. Apart from that, the Fiat 131 Abarth body looks great, but I'm not a fan of the MF-01X chassis....

Tamiya are marketing genius ,they starved us with their "supply issues "for a year or so then released the over priced BBX which has been a massive sales success worldwide, now they can start drip feeding lower end new releases into the market.

WoW you could almost say Tamiya is sorta listening to social chatter these days hope we see more retro classics ie: Falcon,MadCap,King Cab, Stadium Blitzer, TR-15T -yeah some new nitro would be nice and also while there at it some shocks for these kits cant get any decent ones anywhere c'mon Tamiya pull ya finger out
