`There is a precedent for Jane becoming Mighty Thor in the comics. In War of the Realms, she gets the shattered hammer of the War Thor. After she helps Thor defeat Malekith, it shatters and becomes a bracelet. When she becomes Valkyrie, it turns out that it is the all-weapon that she uses as Valkyrie. They could go either way. Mighty Thor appears in Secret Wars. I hope they will give her something to do. I would love to see her in a situation where she has to stand on her own feet with no help from Thor.

As long as they don’t hire Taika Waititi to write the movie, it should be fine. His directing wasn’t the problem imo; it was his screenwriting. Hopefully Chris Hemsworth will still be able to reprise the role again

@@ItsMyTurn215 Let me say this, in my opin. none of Thor movies are genu. great by itself, but i would rank origin Thor as best of them even if its because i like greek and norse legends, classic old knight stories and that movie reminded me those in many ways, plus i loved Thor had his band with him (Sif and warr. 3). Ironically i would rank Ragnarok as 2nd IF, IF i think of that movie either as parody/comedy version, OR in my headcanon as poss multiverse/elseworld story (since many characters in that movie act as compl. deifferent ppl) - that movie made many chars dumb and ignorant, treated almost genocide of nation as joke, but outs. of that it was still fun flick with great action scenes.

Sources have said it will have a more serious tone than Love and Thunder. As long as Taika isn't the director, which they say he isn't then chances are it will have a little comedy instead of heavily saturated with silliness.

Chloe would be a great director for a serious Thor. Eternals wasn't the best film but it's definitely one of the best cinematically and tone. Just need a better writer. I'm over the action/comedy MCU movies. I want them to get back to drama/action The Winter Soldier/Civil War tone.

Thor 5 should start with korg narrating again. But Thor interrupts saying that Korg isnt good at telling stories, and recalls how he made up more than half of the things that happened in Love and Thunder. He can say "Gorr is still out there, we never went to eternity, and his daughter ran away from him after he found the necrosword, Gorr went on a killing spree to find his daughter and Thor ended up rescuing her while only escaping from Gorr, but Thor plans on stopping him"

It’s too bad we couldn’t have the Russo brothers direct a final Thor film, with Markus & McFeely writing. Infinity War - Endgame Thor is my favorite Thor by FAR, and it’s the perfect team to end the Thor story in an impactful, meaningful, and satisfying way. Thor deserves it. I know Markus & McFeely wrote the 2nd Thor, The Dark World, but the journey they took Thor on after that was fantastic. But, it will never happen, so just wishful thinking. Hopefully we get someone creative, who has some passion for Thor’s story, to write the final Thor script of this version of Thor.

In this next Thor movie, I want it to be mythical. Plus, they should use Sif's character more and address where the other Norse Gods were during Ragnarok like Baldur. Because since the mcu was created, we only see Thor, Loki, Odin, Sif(rarely), Heimdall, and Frigga.

Personally I have nothing against any of the rumored directors. You cannot "film on location" in Asgard or Valhalla, so Chloe directing should not be as big a problem as it was for Eternals :)

All the candidate directors will do a great job. Branagh's first movie had a great feel but same as the Marvel's movies back then, were too short and had more to offer, same as Iron Man 2. With a little more extra time, it should be better fleshed out. They were too fixed and rigid on runtime back then.

With Chloe Zhao being considered, it leaves me to believe the movie might have some sorta tie-in with Eternals. With Eternals 2 now scrapped, Marvel now has to find a way to payoff/resolve that cliffhanger, and while some will scoff at the idea, Thor 5 just makes the most sense, especially with Thor's established relationship with the Eternals. And I mean, c'mon, who doesn't wanna see Thor fight a Celestial.

I agree Gareth Edwards could be a really good choice. He can strike a really good balance between fun and serious and he has some really unit visual style. If the plot for this movie touches on Eternals and/or Celestials, and Thor dealing with them, that might be why Chloe Zhao is being considered.

Here’s hoping that Loki returns in a big way or even if it’s a small cameo it has that awesome Brother connection type of ending like they were talking about before making it intense like a raw war movie fight scenes that were in the movie extraction. Here’s hoping for a bit of serious tone
