How's it going! I'm back to continue Inazuma Eleven. The first match of the National Tournament is underway with the first team being Raimon vs Sengoku Igajima aka the ninja academy. Let's see how our team does in the big league.

And here we have the Sengoku Igajima/Shuriken Junior High match, which wasn't too particularly memorable of a match even with Kirigakure Saiji/Sail "Cloak" Bluesea/Quicksilver being a rival towards Kazemaru/Nathan. They also kinda decided that Fire Tornado was stronger than Flame Weather Vane/Fire Rooster... or maybe they decided the enemy goalkeeper was suddenly too slow/weak to react even though we saw him stop Dragon Crash just fine with Whirlwind. In the games, they had a WAY more memorable build-up as they tried interfering with your progress to obtain the manual for Flame Weather Vane/Fire Rooster during the story while you're also trying to build the original Inazuma Eleven back together. They would do stuff like eavesdrop on conversations, impersonate you, steal said manual, etc. But that doesn’t mean this match is completely terrible, either. However, it feels really awkward how they decide that Fire Tornado was just as strong as Flame Weather Vane. What you just saw for Kabeyama Heigorou/Jack Wallside was a defensive/steal move simply called The Wall. The Wall used here was done to block Kirigakure's regular shot, acting as a "shot block." Shot blocks were not added until Inazuma Eleven 2, which made defenders like Kabeyama much more useful/noticeable, but it wasn't just locked to defensive/steal moves, as certain shots, like Fire Tornado, for example, has also counted as a shot block. A shot block move usually has the letter "B" next to its name. The Crescent Moon Formation/Full Moon Formation that Sengoku Igajima just used is also a special tactic, which, as a reminder, was not added until Inazuma Eleven 3. Back to the topic of Natsumi/Nelly and her father, in the games, when the Raimon players went to go search for her at her private room in the school after she heard the news of he father being injured, a nearby female NPC mentions how Natsumi would often go to the Inazuma Tower where she would enjoy watching sun set with her parents before her mom passed away. In such, from my understanding, it seems that Natsumi must be following in her father's footsteps and because she's your stereotypical student council president. So, the protagonists decide to head to the Inazuma Tower, and when Endou gets there, she is clearly crying and believing that she will be completely alone. So Endou cheered her up by saying that even if her father may be gone, she still has the Raimon soccer club. Something else important to note about Natsumi is that she doesn’t apparently canonically have a butler in the games at all.

Kage means shadow and kabe means wall, btw. So kageyama would be shadow mountain and kabeyama is wall mountain

Oh you right. I know someone told me about the differences in the name before, but I definitely forgot when watching this episode 😅

Honestly, you might want to play the inazuma eleven games too sometime, its good to see what the anime was based off (and inazuma eleven 2 is one of my top 5 games of all time)

I did not know the anime was based off the games. That's some interesting news.

@mycupoftea_1 yeah, the games came out and then they made an anime and manga based off it
