They did this to make the show feel fresh, and also introduce new fans about the basics like type matchups and catching mechanics. Ash even tells Iris and Cilan that he travelled with Dawn in Sinnoh. Which is the setting where DP took place

The problem with this battle, aside from Cameron beating Ash despite bringing five Pokemon into a full 6 on 6 battle, is that most of Ash's Unova Pokemon (aside from Krookodile and Leavanny) were not fully evolved, poorly trained and why a large emphasis on comedy, cuteness and personality is not enough to succeed. The Unova League is proof why the "Pokemon don't need evolution to prove their strength" premise failed completely.

At the very beginning of Inazuma Eleven 1, it was already implied that Ichirouta Kazemaru/Nathan Swift and even Ryou Miyasaka/Miles Ryan were already been friends, especially when it was show how they helped out Endou snatch back a soccer ball from a bully rugby club (and also acted as a bit of a tutorial for the player). In such, this kind of drama never happened, but it is an interesting idea to give Kazemaru some character growth, considering he didn't really gain much growth in Inazuma Eleven 1. As for Miyasaka, I heard that some fans found his character to be annoying with how persistent he is towards keeping Kazemaru into the track-and-field club, so - spoiler alert - he gets quickly shafted after Raimon's first National opponent. Interestingly enough, you could even add Miyasaka to your team if you wanted to, but don't expect them to gain character growth because that's how most Inazuma Eleven games work when you decide to recruit someone. In the game for Inazuma Eleven 1, Natsumi gets the information of her father getting caught in an accident from the principal of Raimon, Shinzou Hirai/George Firewill, right after the first half of the Sengoku Igajima/Shuriken Junior High match (which you'll get to pretty soon).

It's nice to be new faces enjoying Toaru, so I'll recommend Aeon of Horus' video "A Certain Magical Index: 20 Years Later" that talks about the origin of the novel and it's reception and impact on the world (mostly the East, anyway). It's 20 minutes long but if you're up to, it's a nice watch.

Zeraora is a really cool and underused Pokémon. If I remember correctly we only ever see it twice, once in Sun/Moon and once in a movie (to add insult to injury the movie isn’t even part of the Pokémon canon).

Some context: This is a two parter from the Sun and Moon anime. I haven’t watched this one in forever so sorry if my memory is rusty. I believe Tapu Koko randomly challenged Ash and the shock from the battle sent Ash & Pikachu to an alternate universe where the Guzzlord that you saw wrecked Alola. There was an ultra beast team like the Alolan group was and the other guy in video was the leader or at leader or at least part of it. And the Tapu Koko you saw that was black was shiny and was from that universe. The first fight was in pure confusion like you said when Ash first appeared. then the second time was just training and I think Ash trying to prove that he can help against Guzzlord. and the last was trying to send Ash home.

Digimon has been a part of my life for 25 years and I'm still just as in awe about it as I was when I first saw it back in 1999. There is something so special about this show. It only gets better as the characters get older. You have a while before you catch up to where it[Digimon] is today.
