Carlos... Pure & Simple Solid Gold with this tune... Brenda was just a kid then with a voice that delivered Rockabilly like this with a punch... Little Brenda Lee rocked the house back then & still today when she is on stage you definitely know who has taken over that scene... Thanks for the share & it's been a pleasure to enjoy... God Bless Always

I was a Mormon missionary in Chile in 1979-80. I spent five months in a provincial town named San Fernando (roughly two hours south of Santiago). There was a local radio station in San Fernando that played this song a lot, possibly daily (although I only heard it in the home of the family who gave us room and board). I always thought that was a weird place to be hearing Brenda Lee.

I have just discovered a story about the song itself. In a 1963 television broadcast Paul McCartney (following the Beatles very first TV appearance) was asked to judge a lip-sync contest using this record. The winner hit the news again when she ran away from home with her boyfriend, inspiring Paul to write the the song "She's leaving home" on the Sergeant Pepper album.@@anton1974new
