Strickland only recently entered the top 5 & only got in because there was no one to fight Izzy plus he lost to Cannoier prior so it actually makes a lot of sense why he hasn't.

Tbf, at the time when Whittaker and Costa were at the top of the division just behind Adesanya, Sean Strickland was still seen as a tier below these guys still headlining UFC Fight Nights. Glad he's changed that perspective around

The thing is majority of UFC fanbase are "casual" fans. Not saying that just to say it but sincerely the best way to describe. Most only watch the cards with big names and don't even watch the prelims. It's too much money wasted on the UFC's part for the major arenas. Not enough pple will tune in.

Nah Tom is the archetype to become a popular fighter he’d never have to go on the streak Belal has had to earn a shot. I’m a fan of Tom however Belal has had to take a harder route to the title imo

@@ordinarypete Brendan’s got momentum with his winning streak, I think a win does more for him and puts him 2-3 wins from a title shot, but if Curtis wins he is far from a title shot still. Although he will jump up a few spots in the rankings if he beats Allen again.

Brendan knocked out Sam Alvey after his last loss which was to Chris Curtis and hasn't lost since, the point is Sam Alvey was from that gym too, Sam's Sean's only other friend besides Curtis. Brendan has evolved and improved so much since then, he stops Chris this time.
