With a voice the sounds like homemade lemonade, a Georgia boy sings about his Alabama buddy. As a North Florida boy, I approve.

Brent I love the fact this song was about Wayne MIlls. I knew Wayne when I lived in Birmingham . The song is perfect to describe Wayne, Good Job. I sure miss the big guy, he was one of the greatest and nicest guys I have ever met. Thank you for this tribute.

Wayne was a personal friend of ours. We went to hear him play everytime we could. The first song my wife and I ever danced to was "Dream Come True" by Wayne. My wife and I both loved him and he loved us....but, Wayne loved everybody, I hope he knows about all the people that he and his music have brought together. That's what Wayne did, he brought people together. We love you brother and miss you....we'll be along in a while.

josiewales44 he defintely loved everyone he met! It was made obvious by the fact that he forgot NO ONE. My brother’s name was Wayne as well and we lost him to a blood clot in 2011 but it is unreal just how similar their personalities were when it came making a new friend everywhere they went. I worked the door in a bar where Wayne played often and I will always remember him coming to sit next to me during the band’s break everytime they played and taking over “hand stamping duties” which often resulted in people’s stamps ending up everywhere but their hands. (He literally made a guy flip the top edge of his pants down one night so he could stamp his “butt” lol swore to him that everyone was getting stamped there that night. He was always a MESS but that was my favorite memory of him. His death devastated me almost as much as my own brother’s death bc they were so much alike that i felt like i had lost another big brother. We saw him perform in Birmingham with Jamey Johnson shortly before he passed and was upset when it ended bc I did NOT want to leave without my big bear hug but it was so packed and i had no idea where he was or if we could even get to him. As we headed to the car we passed the street that ran behind the venue, i heard someone yell out my name and when i looked over, there he was smoking a cigarette and headed our direction. Best part of my night!

@@madisonwaldron2085 Yes, we were indeed fortunate to know and love him. His son, Jack Mills is following in his footsteps and is becoming a very accomplished picker...he had a great teacher though, the late, great Jason "Rowdy" Cope. Another star gone too soon. I don't know if Jack has anything posted here on KZfaq...but you can bet that he soon will.

What part of Alabama? My dad is from Stevenson and I love going back to those gorgeous N. Ala mountain. I too lived there when I was real young. Wish I could’ve met Mr. Mills.

@@louieo.blevinsmusic4197 I live in Montgomery. I had met Wayne many times at various venues and we became friends when I was head of security at one of them. Wayne was a great guy and I am privileged to have known him and to count him as a friend...I miss him.

I didn't know him best, he'd say we were friends. We both rode the highways on a song. So I'm writing this one here in memory of him. Cuz the king of Alabama has gone home

Great tune! Who is that singing with him? love her groovy and persuasive voice!! Great work and wish there was more exposure and notoriety to artists like Brent. One of the benefits of technology and being able to record and push out music on a skinny budget. I'm sure most of you know artists that have something to say in a creative way, but here are a few just in case you haven't had the pleasure.. Tyler Childers, Split Lip Rayfield, Mike West (Truckstop Honeymoon), Billy Strings and Dave Rawlings Machine (Most probably know about Dave's project with Gillian, but just in case). Peace & Love
