Yes! Albert Lee was a freaking monster and ol' Bret is certainly no slouch. He has a lot of Albert's phrasing but also incorporates so many styles. Bebop, jazz, rock, blues, reggae- he's got a taste of all of it in his brand of country. An amazing player. He's one of those guys like Scotty Anderson- every time he picks up a guitar he blows your mind.

Being a bass player myself, and I'm no slouch, but I grew up playing primarily rock, blues, r&b, when people start throwing down the jazz licks I tend to get a little punch drunk. But this was something else, I stayed for the whole thing!!

the b-bender story brought this to mind: some time back I saw a video, where Rodney Crowell was saying, way back when, he was playing live with Vince Gill and decided to pick up Vince's guitar and started pulling the neck down trying to get the b-bender to work only to find it didn't have one. Rodney couldn't believe how accurate Vince's bends were, he always thought he was using a b-bender.

My comment was 3 years ago, and I forgot it, but I was just thinkin that I could buy another '50's Classic Vibe Tele and make one like these, functionally. Honestly, I don't even care about the primer color, I'd want one that had a similar vibe, but maybe a different color. @@najmihakimkhairi1210Dude... Absolutely NO offense intended, but that's crazy... Guitar bodies cost $25-$80, you can get a decent neck for $50-$70, Tuners are $30, a bridge is $30-$50, $40 for a pickguard and electronics, you could get the pickups for another $50... Am I missin anything? Oh yeah, B Bender- $40 for the Re-LapZ version, or even $170 for the Peters G/B bender. That's around $280 at the lower end, and these B.M. Signatures are $3000 for the regular models and $10,000-$12,000 for the Custom Shoppe version... $300 is most certainly NOT $3000, hoss, that math ain't quite mathing, lol... Literally the ONLY way that a "Partscaster" would cost as much as a production model would be if you just hemorrhaged money and bought ALL the EXACT same (or better!) parts... Stop and honestly think for a second, hoss; If building a "Partscaster" version ACTUALLY cost as much as buyin one of these $3000 guitars, Fender probably wouldn't be able to make any profit off these, huh? It's all good, there's a TON of people out there who have NO idea how much it would ACTUALLY cost to build a decent guitar, cause there's a lot more guitar players out there than guitar builders, lol.

I've had the pleasure of doing a session or two with Lonnie he's one of my favorites. Never heard him play Swing like he is here. But I'm not surprised. He's just one of the tastiest drummers around. I didn't recognize the bass player as being Jimmy Carter as I have not seen him in a while but I've known him since the late 80s. His solo here on "Sting with a swing" is proof of how great he still is. He's by by far one of my favorites around town.
