These Songs Sound best with Brian Downey on Drums. I really Love all the great Lizzy guitar Players everybody is talking about but B.D. was such an important Part of the Lizzy Style and Sound. No one gets Close to him playing Lizzy. Such a smooth Bad ass on the Drums. Keep rocking Brian.

At last some guys that can actually capture the pure emotion that was Thin Lizzy. The drums are so swinging with mr Downey driving at the back.The vocals are excellent and the guitar tones are vintage and refreshing unlike the modern high gain fizz everyone else is using for a Lizzy Tribute band.Keep it going Brian it really is superb.

This is pure magic. Don't try to tell me that Phil's spirit isn't right there on that stage. I won't ever believe it.

The songs are so huge, musically and lyrically, that playing them live is a real moving experience. The band deserves to be playing in front of 10,000 plus fans on a regular tour across Europe and even the US. Quality like this shouldn't be kept in the closet. I saw these guys play last summer and was hugely impressed by the three young lads' feel for the material, especially Phil Edgar's treatment of the Scott Gorham side of things. Brian Grace is also a very tasty player. I got the feeling that this is Downey's answer to the proliferation of shows which have gone under the Lizzy name since Lynott's demise. Brian Downey: "It's just a pleasure to play with guys who really know how to play these tunes!" Says it all really.

I've just stumbled upon this video. I was a huge fan of Thin Lizzy back in the '70s-'80s. After Phil's death I thought the band would never recover and in my mind they really didn't. But hearing these guys kind of brought some of the magic back. I would love to see them in concert, close my eyes and imagine the original members playing as it would sound very much like them.

There have been many imitators down through the years - some good, some not so good, but these guys are the real deal. From a life long Lizzy fan since I was 12 and who was fortunate enough to have seen them live.

Hello. Thanks a lot for this inside documentary. I`ve heard Lizzy first at the radio AFN 1976 here in germany...the song: "The boys are back in town". So I went at the age of 16 to my first Lizzy concert here in germany at the "Stadthalle Offenbach" - in 1979 - "Black Rose Tour" with gary moore instead Brian Robertson..but it was so a great experience....till today. I will never forget. And this new project with Brian Downey is so great...I saw them now in 2023 here in germany and they rocked the place. I hope they will rock for a long time. Regards from germany.

Was sick as a dog and had to take things easy so sat at the back of the hall watching all three nights. Was an amazing gig every night and hope to see them again only from my usual spot at the front of the stage.

Thin Lizzy was such an iconic great Band in the 70's which we grew up with. Thank you for keeping the great music alive!!!

Sorry John Sykes, but this is a much better representation of the spirit of Thin Lizzy! It's just so much more honest with Downey playing drums. And The singer puts his own little spin on everything, still Thin Lizzy. Not 'John Sykes does Thin Lizzy'.

Having been a Lizzy fan since the mid '70's, having been a bass player since the same time, having seen them live a few times, having seen tribute bands in various places, and having been in bands playing some of their songs, my opinion is that these guys are damned good at playing Lizzy songs. The venue is small, the video is low budget so the sound is not great. Put them in a big venue and they would sound amazing! They play with feeling, the original guitar has been listened to carefully and reproduced accurately, but still in the spirit of guitar playing being open to interpretation. From a musicians point of view, if Brian Downey wants to put a band together so that he can get out and do what he loves, then that is his business, if you don't like it, move on!

Sounds really good....I'm a guitarist....and guitar players can get really close sounding like their favorite players.....but having the original drummer is big.....its a big deal.....because the groove of the original can never truly be replicated....

My sister brought me to a live lizzy gig in Blackrock Park I was only a kid but never forget, there are a lot of cover bands out there but to see Brian downey here is fantastic, can't wait to see them at the Rory gig in ballyshannon 😎

Since my teens getting Bad Reputation for my 13th birthday Brian Downey been a drummer not just playing good but rather supertight and distinct also i love the way he play (idk how i mean, but he's always "early" collecting the others and Opium Trail (damn!) hes a monster and one of my few 'benchmarks', only song built with same hungry progressive bass and drumming is Falling off the edge of the world - Sabbath. (Damn!) they leave me all exhausted 😵‍💫

I was luck to see original Thin Lizzy ,back in the day. I’m 59 now, and these guys together are spot on, great sound,vocalist is also excellent without trying to sound like Lynot, he brings his presence. Tour dates please ?? 👏👏👏👏

I`ve seen them play lots of times in London and they`re always really great.

Saw them at the 30th Vibe...brilliant...came all the way from the states, went to Philomena's house on Sunday and hung out with her all day

Great to see , great players playing great songs they sound so authentic and Brian Downey , he really makes it swing , great drummer . Always gonna be pressure on the guy singing lead , obviously ! But if this guy decides to own it a bit more then this band could be be the best incantation or version of Thinlizzy since ,...Thinlizzy , "a 1978 rainbow " Good luck to them and I wanna see them play ! please bring it to England .
