@Steve Kay Exactly, it wasn't until 2010 George Gray became announcer for The Price is Right, at that time it was still Rod Roddy or Rich Fields.

@@martingardner9124Anne Robinson seemed a bit more ruthless, while having a good sense of humor. I don't know about Jane Lynch though since I didn't watch much of the newer one.

Honestly, I think the biggest problem with the current Jane Lynch run of Weakest Link actually started in this era: the elimination of the last cash-building round before the final shootout. It actually changes the dynamic significantly.

Funnily enough, he went from saying a famous game show quote that contestants don’t wanna hear (“you are the weakest link, goodbye”) to one contestants do wanna hear (“come on down”)

I actually think ironically you may have saved him from a possible vote-off in the final round. He got the Washington question wrong right after you blew the chain so if you had gotten that car question right, he would have blown $25k. You all did very well though throughout the game.

Celina didn't miss any questions in rounds 1-4 but Brian was the better player in the final round and that's what counts.

Round 3 wouldn't have been another perfect round.. despite getting 4 in a row. The next question was missed and had it not been for THAT bank, the chain would've been broken.

@@dannycomellasSo many people auditioned for the hosting gig, including Mike Richards. Drew Carey was surprisingly selected as host for the last minute, which stunned a lot of people. Of course George Gray eventually became the permanent announcer and the rest is history.

This version failed in the U.S. because the top prize was too big. It's a shame because it had a lot of potential to be a big hit in on NBC I feel and it just didn't make it. The daytime version always stood out to me because they didn't have the double round, so they always voted off the Strongest Link no matter what.

They both only missed 1 question. The last question Gregory didn't answer so it's not scored as incorrect.

Both missed one, Gregory banked money so that made him a stronger link/player. Even though he broke the chain (losing money) the show doesn't take that into account, because he banked something he added money to the pot.
