Screaming "and what does the picture of the room you're standing in SHOW?!" at the screen for a good few minutes. 🤣

The observatory is very much a "dumb puzzle for geniuses"/"Obtuse puzzles for obtuse people". There's no real reason why you'd figure out one puzzle, and the other is very much a puzzle that you'd have to figure out the order for. The clock tower is obnoxious. The first two hands, simple enough. The next two? Basically made for clock jumpers. There was an automatic translation! It was only on the X360 version. The small area with the gold atop it is rather a heavy handed reference to MYST. Black holes are still a bad game mechanic.

I played this game long ago, when I didn't have access to a QR code reader (smartphone). So I suppose I never actually finished it. And points off for requiring that. BTW, I thought I caught a glimpse of a tetromino puzzle in the "throne room."

(Minor mechanical spoilers) Each QR code "puzzle" is paired with an alternate puzzle that yields the same input sequence as the QR code. When you solve either part of the pair, the counterpart is also marked as solved. So the game doesn't actually require any external tools in order to solve all puzzles in the game.

@@qbicfeet Wait, really? Can you tell more? Because I don't recall solving any puzzles that _didn't_ yield anything. Good thing QR codes weren't a fad and survived for over a decade - honestly, I wasn't expecting this game would age this well. (though, a bunch of clipping into walls and a few blocks disappearing were definitely issues in this Let's Play!)

⁠@@buttonasas I don't remember where all of the counterpart puzzles are but I do remember that the throne room puzzle at 3:52 in this episode (there are some inputs hidden behind the throne that you can briefly see when rotating) maps to the QR code in the sewers. Once you've scanned the QR code, the throne rooms will be marked gold on the map and won't yield any rewards.
