If I like a country after visiting it, I always go back to my favourite spot & spend some time. I did Vietnam in 2017 & loved Hoi An. I’m heading back in July to stay in An Bang Beach Hoi An for a month, it’s a great place. The next visit will be my beach vacation. 💙 If anyone is looking for a good value place close to beach in An Bang (10min by car to Hoi An), have a look at Life Beach Villa 💙

Awesome video! One of my favorite cities. BTW, bún thịt nướng: bún is rice vermicelli, thịt is meat, and nướng is grilled. You'll see a lot of thịt nướng (grilled meat or skewers) around. Hến xúc bánh tráng is a bit weird but really really good. It's sauteed baby clams with a rice cracker; a great dish from central Vietnam.

Was in Hoi An for a week back in January. Such a beautiful place! So nice to see all the familiar sites again. Hoi An is only a 30-minute Grab ride from Da Nang so it is an easy day trip. We chose to spend a couple of days in Hoi An because it was inexpensive to stay, we had time, and we had videos to shoot (work). You could stay one night but honestly, if you spend the day shopping and enjoy the night on the river walk you can easily get back to Da Nang. Hopefully, this helps. Safe travels!! Cheers!!🍻

I last went to Hoi Anh about five years ago, a couple of years before Covid kicked in. It was totally oppressive at this time because it was completely overrun with Chinese package tourists ascending upon the town in buses in buses who were chaperoned around town in large groups. It is a small city, so it doesn't take much to overrun it. I escaped to the large city of Da Nang nearby after a week or so, which was far less overrun and is not really a tourist city. I enjoyed my stay there. My earlier visits to Hoi Anh, ten and twelve years earlier, were in contrast very agreeable. So much so, that I was looking forward to returning to this little gem of a town. I was surprised, appalled rather, at how much it had changed. This massive influx of Chinese packaged tourists may not have yet returned post Covid, but it will.

Everyone that has tried the drink from Mot loves it. I'm really curious why it's so universally loved. I hear it started out as a medicinal drink that contains lemongrass, cinnamon, ginger, and green tea....tried to make it myself but it was just okay. Probably why I don't own my own shop with lines of people waiting to try it. LOL! There is a TON of stuff to do in Hoi An...from the coconut boats to the cooking classes to riding bikes to see people making straw mats and such. Also someone went to a Cirque du Soleil like show there and said it's great. I saw a video where a family did a tour through Jack Tran Tours that looked awesome.

We no longer give links to our accommodations. Prices and hosts change so often that we would hate for someone to have a bad experience of our recommendation.

TRAVELERS BEWARE ! You will be charged a very steep fee by local people who let you take pictures of their animals or some " cute objects ", with or without you in it. They trick you into believing that there's no harm in taking a picture of yourself with those cute creatures or traditional objects for souvenirs. At first, they all act friendly and sweet until you finish snapping those pictures, then they'll force you to pay. At this point, you can't really walk away but give them WHAT YOU THINK is worth.

It’s a bit disturbing when you hear the names of these foreign placed pronounced the American way! It would be extremely valuable to try to pronounce the names of the cities and places closest to what the locals pronounce them. Love and follow your videos though😊

We actually do try to pronounce names and places the why the locals do. Unfortunately it is difficult to do moving from country to country the way we do. I don't even believe it has anything to do with being American. Thank you for watching our channel and taking the time to comment. Cheers 🍻
