One thing that I stood out to me test driving the manual Z was how relaxing it was just rowing through the gears. I could see myself enjoying this on the way back from work. Hoping to get one next year.

5:28 That rear three quarter view is so nice. As a former 300ZX owner in the 90's and 370Z owner in 2010, both manual, I feel compelled to this newest version in this exact spec.

Brian - you are a Manual Maestro. Great vid - appreciate. You sound so USA down the street. Manual or BUST. NO COMPARISON. Recently acquired new 2024 Z Performance 6MT Everest White/Graphite leather - super, inc. No negatives. Ride quality superb for daily driver. Manual gives driver total control. Never had a Z, but am a big Nissan fan because Nissan is pure Japanese with a zero defect, customer FIRST philosophy which I appreciate immensely. It's all subjective, right? But I can tell you from an owner, this thing ROCKS THE PLANET. Superb suspension, ride and feel. Super torque and VERY FUN to drive. Highly recommend. Don't want to diss the Dupedra... ;o) ...but this thing is the REAL DEAL. Chiseled exterior - pure Japanese DNA and heritage which cannot be copied. 2 Thumbs Up Nissan.

How about doing some on classic cars? My summer car is a 78' black corvette 25th anniversary w an oyster interior. Nothing beats driving a V8.

Thanks, Vito! They could have made the gauges useful at least! Steering wheel was ok, I did a lot of seat time in this one and don't have any complaints about the wheel.

Brian - others have reviewed this have led me to believe this is more of a heavy GT vs a sports car. Did you feel the mass hamper a spirited drive when weight transfer occurred in switchbacks (for example)?

@@BrianMakseThe Honda Turbo engines are garbage. Burns oil with oil dilution a great recipe for head gasket failure.

I had that exact thought. Just yesterday I watched Brian's Supra MT review. So, I was wondering if the actual drive tests were fairly close together too. And then, how do the two compare? Looks like this performance package Z is about 5k cheaper than that Supra 3.0 MT, before the games begin with Stealership mark-up and availability.

The performance model is a healthy 10k over the sport. I question whether the slip diff and rev match is worth it when everything else is the same. Your comments please.

Rev matching is a circus trick for people who can’t drive manuals, but good diffs can be exploited by talented pilots. However, I think there’s more to this model than that.

The hype that has been around this car over the last 2 plus years is pretty crazy. I live in Vancouver I haven't seen a single example on the road, there are couple on sale nationwide with $20k in markups, odd the hype hasn't translated into sales.

Production was extremely limited for the first model year, and Nissan dealers are almost as bad as Kia dealers.

I saw one here but it was an automatic. Not impressed. Maybe it drives great but who knows… except you! They have no idea when if at all they’ll arrive here so no point in getting worked up. Meanwhile I test drove the Miata RF manual GT and loved it and got one!

Given how weird things have become regarding oil. My preferred ICE car will need to have stellar consumption...unless it's just a show piece or weekend track days. Real drivers like road trips.

Price-wise, my fear is they have moved to far away from the OG chaps who really wanted to drive these 2-door JDM cars. They’re marketing now to a group who might not be really into driving but just want an auto 2-door sportscar with streetcred
