The event was hosted at the Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, as part of Brianna Wiest's 2023 tour for her book, The Pivot Year. Brianna has a deep connection to Lancaster, having moved there as a new college graduate in the fall of 2013. It was in Lancaster where she wrote much of her best-selling book, 101 Essays That Will Change The Way You Think.
Brianna was joined on stage by Bianca Sparacino, where they engaged in a deep and insightful discussion about Brianna's journey as a writer and the life lessons that can be extracted from her phenomenal success.

0:18 "...one of the most famous books in the world..." now I KNOW he's just reading what they gave him. Also, he says "one of the most well read authors of our generation" LOL until I got pelted with KZfaq shorts I didn't know who she was, and even the intro she wrote for him doesn't make sense. "one of the most read authors" is what he meant, or maybe he just meant she reads a lot.

I bought this book and I don’t understand how it is a year or meditations. I’m actually disappointed that this is not at all what this is.

I saw this in person because of my job, it was embarrassingly cringe, these two women are not self aware at all. And let me just say this was not a "sold out" theater, if someone turned the lights on during the video it would be embarrassing. That's why they don't show you who is there or let you hear anything from the people who did show up.

Am I the only person that realizes nothing she says makes any sense? The grammar and sentence structure of the actual book is embarrassing. Can you really move a few books just by connections and some self promotion like this?

The book popped (like many do) the week it came out, now she thinks she's Shakespeare. Why did they edit out the applause of all 23 people in "the crowd"....? She's a nobody with connections to get her book of wandering babble promoted. There is a REASON she's only reviewed by the same handful of people, and that no real publisher will take her seriously.

The Pivot Year was an anchor for me. Still going through my 'pivot year' which has now become my pivot years... Reminder to be grateful for the journey and comforting to know I am not alone I'm this. ❤ Thank you both. You both are absolutely amazing writers!!!!!
