On rare occasions you come across a video like this that makes you feel guilty watching it because you should be paying for the priviledge of watching it. This is one of those. The dealership where I purchased my RAV4 did not even know half of the features that are covered here. And they are covered well. Great job and thank you for this. Brian, thank you SO MUCH! I just bought my RAV 4 yesterday and the salesperson didn't go over anything with me except help me help set up the toyota app. I had about 6 booklets with tiny diagrams and type, so I found your video which REALLY helped me understand all of the buttons. Great tutorial. Had my car a couple days and found this to be extremely helpful. Wish all Toyota dealers would use your video for a rool to train all sales personnel. Our 2 sales people knew nothing about the set ups of a RAV 4 safety features or apple screen.

Good job done there! Good tutorial. To improve it, you could get into the "Auto" climate mode which is quite smart about what everything should be set to, and so that smart flow button will be set too because the car will automatically determine if there are people sitting in the back seat or the passenger side of the front seat. It will also automatically turn on recirculate the air if it is very hot outside and slow the fan speed until the A/C is really blowing cool air.

Brian, I just bought a 2024 RAV4 XLE Premium, and I didn't know enough to ask any questions. My last car was a 2008 Saturn Aura XE - so it's been 16 years since I've had a new car! Great video very helpful. We have a 2020 XSE Hybrid AWD and the only thing I can't find is the readout of all 4 tires PSI. Maybe they added it to new ones but it's an annoying oversight on a car with otherwise all the modern tech.

Hi Brian, thank you for your tutorials. I bought a 2024 RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium two days ago. The salesman did a good job of explaining the buttons and settings but it was rather overwhelming at the time. The last car I bought was a 2005 Camry LE so this is all new to me. One example is the Hold button which will help in the Costco gas lines 😊 I found you by searching for a RAV4 infotainment videos. Thank you for these informational videos. Helps me with my questions

Great job on the video…. I have a deposit down on a RAV4 Prime. In reading it shows that it has on demand AWD…. Which button turns this on?…. Or is this a dif between a standard hybrid and the prime?

Thank you! Your AWD comes on when the car determines it needs it, e.g. hard throttle, up hill, bad weather, sharp turns.

Most of his tutorial pertain to my 2024 rav as well. Thanks again. . My question is when I open my driver side with my FOB in my pocket, my passenger doors do not open. I have to manually unlock their doors from the inside. Is there a way to unlock their doors at the same time???????

The dual fast charger is an option you can buy from dealer but usually plugs into 12v round plug. You may have two fast chargers inside your center console.

I will play with it and try to find it. But when it is night time my google maps remain super bright like it is during the day. I just got my car and in my pervious car, (Didn't have Android auto so I had to buy a device that allowed me to use Android auto in my 2019 CHR. ) But at night my screen color would change to night mode automatically. I don't know if that's a Google maps thing or infotainment thing. But I never had to change it before. Even in cars I rented.

I got a rav 4 awd hse for Xmas 2023, the dash looks nothing like the you tube post, I’m in Aust so that is one difference. I haven’t got the radio, there is the media panel in the middle ? Lots of other diffs, too many to mention !

This was SO helpful! Thank you! I’ve had mine for almost a year and still didn’t know what all the buttons were. 2 questions- 1. Can you connect a passenger’s phone to listen to their music? 2. More general question- what can I do to improve the MPG? Mine has decreased a bit and I’m not sure what things I could/should be doing to be more fuel efficient. Thank you!! ✌️

Thanks for watching! 1. Yes, they can either plug into the USB, or make a separate Bluetooth connection. Your Bluetooth must be turned off of your phone for the car to do this. Because your car will always favor you. 2. If you live anywhere that gets cold in winter, that’s the main reason. The fuel quality goes down, and the cars work harder to warm themselves for you. But these work for me: •proper tire air pressure (checked monthly) •new engine air filter yearly •use the proper fuel for the car (regular 87 for most Toyota cars) •oil changes every 5k miles or 6mo (whichever first) with the proper oil. ________________________ •no harsh acceleration •no harsh braking •keep RPMs below 4,000 often •no idling •read articles on “hyper miling” *I break the bottom rules all the time because I like to enjoy my vehicle. I never break the top rules. But if you’re in winter like me, mpg will go down. Especially if you remote start your vehicle like I do. Hope this helps you

You should be able to save them as favorites in order preferred

@duanechrismer8818 I believe you can even push and hold to drag the stations but I haven’t tried this yet. Otherwise you would simply tune to the station, tap the heart button, but do this in order of stations the way you want them to appear

Hi Hal, thank you. The battery regenerates on its own when you decelerate and when you drive at higher speeds. The car does it all for you in the background.

Thanks for the tutorial. To confirm, to use the Toyota navigation (NOT google maps through Apple CarPlay) you need to subscribe ($) to be able to use a map ?

You’re welcome. Yes if the car has the cloud based nav, you’ll get a trial for free then after that is up, you can opt in. I actually really like the cloud based nav. I enjoy the east to see bird eye view map.

I am thinking about getting the RAV4 Hybrid LE 2023! Black or Dark Gray. What are the chances of the Hybrid Battery going bad? Is the replacement battery $10K plus?
