This is a historic building in Center City Philadelphia. The Historic Society picks the color and the size of the joint. We cannot change anything. It's a four-part sand 2 part lime and one part Portland cement. PS if you have anything negative to say I don't mind but at least have a video proving that you can do better.

Dude this is some seriously skillful tuckpointing and striking all in one. You truly save so much more on the cleanup, and even getting rid of the need to come back with a barrel striker. What I’m curious about is pop-outs if you don’t tuck the mortar into the joints fully so that it “seats” properly?

your pointing is mot going all the way back to existing cement especially on the tight joints. Turn the blade of slicker sideways on tight ones to pack mortar in.

I thought NHL was the only material used on that type of building?

Frank, you do clean work. It looks like the mortar is not filling the joints. If so, is that a problem?

this looks like very nice work but these do not look like butter joints. I typically think of butter joints as very, very skinny.

They are. He should have used a slicker half the width.

Hi , just want to know how did u remove the mortar so nice, cuz most of old building mortar is thin, and difficult to use a angle grinder.

I have a job where the joints are maybe the thickness of a quarter inch. Any way of repointing them without covering or topping the brick?

Hey Man, we talked through e mail and I sent you pictures of the wall in question. Never heard back and wasn't sure if maybe my e mails went to your junk mail. I thought I would try you via youtube. Let me know if your already booked for work this summer? I'm finding it hard to find a good brick mason. Thanks Tim

I would not recommend using a gun on these joints they are so thin you have to use a Point Key this mix has a lot of lime in it
