The best example I've seen on youtube of laying bricks simply, cleanly, and accurately. Also, the only one I've seen butterring the perp from above rather than underneath (although he does use an unnecessary underneath stroke).

Not bad at all. Only criticism would be the smudging when cutting mortar away and when you are laying them brick your are dragging the mortar joint out instead of pushing the brick into the last to maintain a full mortar joint. Theses are minor and you will develop better habits over time. Keep up the good work.

If its too high above the line, tap the brick down, dont push or youll distrub layers below and squeeze mortar out and lower the layers below

You're supposed to push them down. Tapping bricks can affect the courses below. Why are you giving advice on something you are clueless about!? 😂😂😂

Thanks mate 👍 Yh this is all face work so I had to take my time a good bricklayer will understand spicifically in winter time however if they are line mongs or just getting into bricklaying they will always have opinions as if u lay too many blues they can sink or the wall can have a belly...im not the best but I can't keep evryone happy

I see the string keeps the bricks in line but how do you keep the bricks 100% flat and not slightly tilted?

Just press them down and eyeball it. Just use a level and make sure the first row is level and the rest is easy

Speed on blue bricks is not the best way...thats why you won't see many bricklayers like them

Mucks to wet for staffs, you are losing gauge. Weight of bricks compressing bed joints!!

Yes in winter time aswell but I find it pretty good I love laying blue engineering bricks if the compo is good and weather is nice they are lovely lol 😆 I know alot of trowels won't agree with me on that

You need to know a lot to be a good bricklayer, it isn't just placing bricks down. Also, you're outside exercising all day instead of sitting inside an office all day. Granted, you don't have to be a rocket scientist like in your profession but you definitely can't be a good bricky if you're dumb 😂
