Have you tried the Blake’s intermediates? We use them to tail the corner out from the corner profile. As on base lift or timber frame we wouldn’t be able to use the dean clamp. Wicked for roughing up the cut ups too, sack the the bolt that goes through the wall, just 2 tight f clamps keep them sterdy

Charlie if you go on eBay and type 4x external Line holder clips for profile they should come up for 50mm profile.. I had a few that were too tight for the clip the slide up and down but these worked out for me . They was about 8quid

@seanogk9
@seanogk9 4 жыл бұрын
I have'nt mate was going to get some but if they don't sit right im guessing they're designed for the 40mm tube instead of 50mm. Make your own! Do you know a welder who could knock some up? I bought 50mm line holder clips on ebay few years back, they do the job only down fall they're plastic, but they're cheap enough.

BT Engineering Brickies Tools Think we’ve had a discussion about this before as I sent them back to you and you altered the cavity size from 250mm to 130mm I mentioned to you that the cavity size I was working on is 150mm it was just before Xmas and I waited ages to get the refund back and you admitted it was your typing error

What are your thoughts on the other style of profile that sits out from the corner are they more of a pain to set up , never used profiles before was thinking about buying a set
@rossmale8715
@rossmale8715 4 жыл бұрын
You're talking about Blake's profiles, very good and once you get used to using them they are quite quick to put up,sometimes on a rustic style brick they can take a little bit longer to plumb up.the ones we use were my dad's and are at least 20 years old and still going strong.

@@rossmale8715 I bought the Blakes profiles years ago, and yes they are a bit of a pain to set up. last year changed to oz style and I'm very happy using them .if your going to buy profiles go with BT equipment ITS THE BEST.

Never see 4 inch block with a brick/ect veneer over here, it is a shame they don't make the top clamps smaller so you can hook on the slab side of an 8. Plus it is like pulling teeth to get labors to set you up (up above) to reach as near too the top of the poles. Climbing braces, standing on stocked brick, stocked back hops in the way, holding a level flat against the wall and reading your distance your pole is from the wall and adjusting the clamps is a 3 handed job but only have 2. We always use the foots and the company has home made L-brackets (screw to studs or hammer drill /tap con)that you can adjust using someone's rusty crescent wrench and a rusty bolt and a hammer to wack it in and out, well maybe need 4 hands.

When you put up these profiles tigt to the bottom course and then put your line on. It off sets the brickwork by the thickness of the line Why not to put a small packer at the bottom of the profile
