The bloke that taught me when I was an apprentice once told me "a skilled tradesman is not the one that doesn't make mistakes but is the one that can get over them" it has stuck with me forever. We’re all human keep up the good work lads, it's nice to see people having a laugh on site 👍🏻

With the brick and block covers, if you put a half brick in the middle of each stack then pull the cover down, it creates a tent which sheds the water and stops the leaching through you can sometimes get, especially when its belting down.👌

We put a door in a garage to be told there wasn't meant to be one. Toothed it out bricked it up, then when the customer bought the house they wanted a door in the garage! At least the lintel was already in. Great vids mate. If Jordan don't sought him self out give him a slap that usually works!

You should do a Q&A (question & answer) video to answer all of the questions people ask over and over so that you don't have to answer them 1,000 times. You can simply put that Q&A video in all of your video descriptions, and you can reply to the comments with the video! I'm sure that would be helpful for your viewers including me. Cheers from USA friend!

easy fix Charlie, you need a mortar rake blade on a 4 inch grinder , cut two false perps into the stretcher between the headers , so its header queen header queen header . haven't watched the whole video but you've probably sorted it now 🤣

@DANDNB Absolutely "NOT" Flemish Bond, headers and stretcher, alternate on the same course. English Bond, headers and stretchers on alternate course, except of course, it is a garden Wall Bond, as in English Bond, 3 or 5 courses of stretchers to 1 course of headers, in Flemish Garden Wall, 3 or 5 stretchers to 1 header on the same course. The 2 brick pillar, bonded in Flemish Bond would be 3/4; header; 3/4, next course: header; stretcher; header. A lot of cutting, "yes", but Flemish Bond it truly is. AND, yes I accept you're apology. PS; I taught brickwork for 35 years and contracted for numerous years and I love these video's, fetches back fond memories. Cheer's

@DANDNB Well, that particular video (and I watch every one of them) related to the "cock up" error, mistake, call it what you like, I made enough of them in my 72 years. Charlie set up his marking on the piers and everyone that commented said, yeah, Flemish bond, you've saved the day, and I simply said, No, it's not Flemish Bond, it's English Bond. Charlie's a proper worker, a good practical bricklayer, I don't criticize him, he's a young me.
