I have to watch your latest videos, I have been busy/distracted XD This one was fun! My father and one of my ex-students have also tinnitus, and I myself am an autist and bricks sets help me in many ways, so it was double reason for suscribing to your channel. Your editing works look awesome! So that's why you don't know Cantonese :o I was always wondering why, but wow, you actually have a multicultural family! Things I would like to know: What is your top 5 favorite sets until now? What was your first set? Which countries have you been at? What other brick youtubers do you watch and what you like about them? While I can't buy you sets because of where I live, your videos have inspired me to buy non LEGO stuff always, and some alternative brand sets I have are awesome. Greetings again from Costa Rica!

Wow, can't believe it's been four years - I discovered you either just before or during Covid! I don't buy many sets these days (although I'm still into minifigures) but I still watch all your vids! Would be cool if you could chat a little about daily life in Hong Kong - oh and tell us about how awesome the food is, and what your favourites are. p.s. I'm half-Malay, which is very close ethnically to Filipino, and I'm also half-Irish by blood, so we're basically cousins!

Hey hey hey I did not know you are a family with Sam, I did a Google too because I thought I heard wrong, and your dad looks older than I remember him from the old movies. I'm also from the younger generation, so I know your dad's music but not so much on his personality and family. But do have fond memories and great times rewatching his old movies. He's definitely a hit with my parent's and grandparent generation. Great work with your channel. Been one of your earliest followers even since I discovered China origin bricks and appreciate your cover of the models

Thanks for the kind words and yes dad has left a big impact on people's lives, but movies are timeless ...even I get shocked when I see actors that have aged. We're all watching and taking care of him, but the great news is, he's super healthy and can still sing on stage.

Nice video! We got snippets of your life in the other videos, but it's cool to have one where it is the main subject. I really enjoy your videos, because I can see some cool sets that most of the other reviewers won't even touch. And they also feel very casual. It's a bit weird when you think about it. There are a lot of serious reviewers out there that are not sellers. And while you are a seller, your videos have the most relaxed vibe to them. Okay, very random question that came to mind, because you are active in the music scene: Did you ever meet Olivia Ong?

Yea it's sort of a double edge sword. Many might think I'm bias since I'm selling sets or being picky what I review. Honestly, I just choose what looks cool and do it. Brands get upset with me because even though I may be positive there's some things they don't like, but oh well. Others have weird rules Pantasy *cough* or want a more affiliate style review...which brings the serious reviewers out (they are getting a free set though). Anyway, I'm just here for the fun. Never met Olivia Ong...tbh I never heard of her lol. I have met many others though..very random, maybe I should make a video of celebs I met and fun stories.

@@brickmeupscottie Yeah, the fun really comes through. Keep going, I'd say. 🙂 Random celeb videos sound like fun. You should try at least one. Olivia Ong did/does cover versions of a lot songs I like. And through that I discovered her own songs. She's from Singapore and also had concerts in Hong Kong.

Actually put in an order with you two years ago for the Cyberpunk sets, and you threw in a few spare minifigs. Even though things were a little late, they were all intact and I was surprised at the quality. If I ever have a chance, I'll probably make a purchase again, perhaps some of the Royal Toys stuff.

Oh nice...2 years already!! I wished they continued the series...I guess it's not happening now. Glad they came intact as for delay it happens sometimes either Ida is fighting with the suppliers or arguing with the post office hahah.

Hi Scotty, do you read books? I've got 8 and 3yo so I bet I know what your life is like now.😂 I find reading is a good activity when getting the kids to sleep. Who's your favorite author? Ever read Discworld?

Hahah high five from one dad to another, tantrums and video times lol. I actually just picked up fellowship the paper back to read lol. I hardly do though...I'm trying. I end up gaming and catching up on films..but you know how that goes...falling asleep while watching hahah. Never read discworld...good? I remember the pc game.

@@brickmeupscottie the lotr novels are quite dry compared to the movies. Discworld novels are fantasy satire/comedy. They're hilarious. Having a music background, you might enjoy starting with "Soul Music". Or start at the beginning with "Colour of Magic" but unlike most series, discworld books get better with the newer books. 😁

That’s literally the only LEGO set I keep together & displayed. It’s so nostalgic to my childhood. All the other sets I buy for the build experience then part them out for mocs. The original die cast metal Voltron toys were amazing. Back when toys were metal 😆. I had to beg my parents for the full die cast Voltron for Christmas. Great video as always! The LEGO set had 2 different instructions book builds…the lions & the mech. Now I know which mashup tee to make for you. Final Fantasy 👍. I’ll come up with something.

I'm pretty sure I had the die cast one too...being born in HK in the 80's was full on badass cause I'd get all the Japanese toys and u.s. toys combined. Nothing like mixing up gold lightan robot with GI joe's or COPS with Macross. lol.

The Hobbit extended versions are better than the LOTR trilogy. I know it’s not popular fan opinion but it was the original Tolkien story that birthed LOTR. I also have a fantasy dwarf fetish. Don’t @ me LOTR fans you won’t change my mind. 😂 🎉

You know what...I really loved the Hobbit extended this time around...the more barrel rolls the better lol. Kinda bummed when I found out some of the dwarves were the dead ones in the mines of moria.
