I use to be so scared of the movie poster of this as a kid. Fun stuff to know: • According to Jennifer Tilly, the doll s3x scene was all improvised. • The date on Tiffany's newspaper clippings at the beginning of the movie and the date of death on Charles Lee Ray's tombstone is 9th November 1988, the release date of the first Child's Play movie. • Julia Stiles got the part of Jade, but later dropped out to play a role in 10 Things I Hate About You. • When Tiffanys pet tarantula "Charlotte" lands on Damiens face, a CG spider was used. • Bride of Chucky is the most expensive Chucky/Child's Play Movie to this Date with a Budget of 25 Million Dollars. • This is the first time that someone other than Chucky recites the Dambella chant Tiffany uses it in an attempt to bring back Chucky.

FUN FACT: Alexis transitioned well before this movie. She actually has an archived KZfaq channel where you can go back and watch all her home movies with the family from the 90s which include the whole family doing very normal things like renovating their home, casually hanging out and drinking n stuff. Alexis is one of the few actors whom did roles as a male because she knew nobody would hire her if she was always dressing as a woman - however, still advocated for trans rights well before every other actor in Hollywood, all the way uptil her passing from HIV.

This is where it gets crazy, and to think, this is only a very small tip of the iceberg from where this story goes. Which for those that don't know, is STILL going on in the Chucky TV series, all of this is canon and relevant. The evolution of this series is probably the best I've ever seen for any horror franchise. You'll learn way more about Tiffany in the future, but let's just say, she has quite the past.

Don Mancini didn't write the voodoo rules that were set up when he co-wrote the first movie and was never a fan of them. The rules were Tom Holland's idea and he and Don did not get along while writing the script. But because the studio got the final say to go the voodoo route, Don had no choice but to go with it at the time but he is allowed to change the rules to help fit the following films by this point of the franchise which is why the franchise starts to play fast and loose with the rules. Don also wrote the character of Tiffany with Jennifer Tilly in mind and today she looks like she's in her 40's despite currently being 65 years old Also, when Roxy and Tara get to Curse Of Chucky and Cult Of Chucky, Greg better make sure they watch the unrated cuts for those movies since the theatrical cuts don't have the post credit scenes that set up the next installment because Greg keeps skipping the unrated versions like he did with The Descent, Jennifer's Body and the Saw movies

This film is perfect to me. It’s so campy, cheesy, gory, sexy and it’s freaking hilarious. It’s my favorite in the franchise and it’d argue it might be the most iconic film in the franchise because that poster and all the merch and lore that came with this one film is crazy. The TV series on SyFy is still tying events from this film into the current continuity.

But what I also like is that since both Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly were practically bouncing off each other with their dialogue, it feels so natural whether as human or in doll form. (11:43) John Ritter was known for his witty humor thanks to his sitcom Three’s Company, but he sure knew how to one-up his confrontations with sick burns. (13:58) That outfit Tilly is wearing is her own outfit, not a costume. (34:20) Kathy Najimy playing the motel maid in a minor role is due to the fact she’s good friends with Jennifer Tilly in real life. Looks like this sister act was unable to Hocus Pocus this crime scene away! 🤣

Bride of Chucky came out in 1998. I was three. So this was the Chucky movie for me as a kid. Gave me nightmares all the time. His face! I remember seeing the vhs in the movie gallery store from on of the original three child’s play movies and his non-stitched look was weird for me because I didn’t know that was his look. I thought it was stitched or nothing. Now as an adult Chucky is my favorite horror icon and I love all the movies (sans remake. I mean it’s alright lol) watching the movies brings a lot of joy and nostalgia. I’m glad something that terrified me as a kid has become something I love dearly.

The fun never ends. The next movie is a horror comedy. All the movies have comedy and campyness but the next one is a total spoof, but still following the story like it always does. Its a really fun change of pace and Bride kinda warms you up to it. Seed of Chucky is so funny and endearing.

I really enjoyed the expression of appreciation for horror and the horror community. It's my favorite community to be a part of, because of the things you two talked about. Yes, there will be some bad apples, but horror really is full of people who just love to connect with others who love what they love and get excited to show those things to new people. THIS is THE Chucky movie. The first was unique as they explored the concept, while 2 was more of less. This one they took it to a new level by adding the comedy that was a staple of these types of films, like Nightmare on Elm Street. I can just see Jennifer and Brad in the booth while reading their lines - hilarious.

I've been meaning to watch this movie for YEARS and finally did today just to watch your reaction and it was sooo much better than i thought it would be. Chucky and Tiff are iconic together even is they are a messed up and the ending is WILD. I think I LOVE this movie lol. Keep up the great work the best duo on KZfaq.

Since you asked! My rankings: 1, 4, 2, 3 (1, 7, 4, 6, 2, 5, 3) However, in my memory, 1st movie aside, the sequels all stand pretty close, with the exception of 3, which is lesser quality. 4 & 5 are wild. And 6 & 7 are excellent modern returns of the franchise. Pretty great franchise! I love the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street franchises, especially, but Child's play is definitely a solid franchise throughout - unlike those others.

I am a hugeeeeee horror fan, 25 watched them since very young lol! Growing up on those classics, all of that accounted THIS is my all time fav horror movie! Tiffany is my fav horror icon,Jennifer Tilly is iconic as tiff! Freddy vs Jason, scream 4 and texas chainsaw massacre are other of my favs too

i loved this so much, this was my favourite chucky movie as a kid and I enjoy the Seed of Chucky, which i really really hope you two do next itss all so wacky🤣🤣🤣 I was actually terrified of chucky and all doll movies AND real life china dolls, until this movie! it somewhat cured me of that fear because of how fun it is and how much i loved Tiff, I recognised her voice anywhere and everywhere after! but yh this movie started my love for comedy slasher horrors, it got to a point that I can sniff them out. but alas, ive become more spiritual now, so its become hard to watch back most of my faves unless its the truly light camp ones.😩 and i have adhd so i struggle with re-watching certain things, i get too bored and zone all the way out. but finding this channel has made re-watching so much fun!!! i love it here and i love how it feels like we're all watching together. its nice! anyway!!! loved this reaction ladies, i hope you continue to the next one in the series... also this made me realise, i was way too young to be watching this movie. i was born in 94 and I know i watched this in the 2000s before Seed came out, because i remember i was excited when i heard it came out in the states and my friend got her brother to get it pirated 😖😅😅 signs of the times! wow threw me way back🤣

Glad you guys are enjoying these movies. I've mentioned it in previous comments that this franchise gets insane, and this is definitely where the insanity starts. You loved this movie so I'll bet you'll love the next few as well, it's such a good franchise. Also glad to hear you've been welcomed into the horror community, as with any community there's always some bad apples, but it's good to hear that you've only encountered the positive side of the community and I hope the positivity continues through your journey into horror. My Sister-in-law (my Brother's Wife) is really big into Halloween and horror and such like you guys, and she loves this franchise as well, so much so that I believe she has a Tiffany themed bag and I think she even has a Tiffany doll in her car. Roxy's guess of the title of the next movie is close, it's not Baby of Chucky but rather Seed of Chucky. There are currently 4 more Chucky movies and the show, Seed of Chucky is the next one then Curse of Chucky then Cult of Chucky then the Chucky show continues the story after that. There is also the 2019 reboot movie, but as is suggested by it being a reboot it's not in the same continuity as the other Chucky movies, but the reboot movie is really good too. You did see Texas Chainsaw on the channel Tara, it was with Aaron, you guys watched it between your watching of Saw 3 and Saw 4, at least according to the playlist on the channel.

I was obsessed with this movie as a kid. Great practical and special effects, fun and different bride of frankenstein + bonnie and clyde plot, and Jennifer Tilly is ICONIC for this and Tiffany is such a fun and interesting character. Its all just so good and fun!!
