Tip: For the loose quill lock, you can easily install an O-ring between the lock and the head. It's a 2 second job 🙂

In 2005 I escaped St. Louis with my life and found a job with a small aviation firm building experimental aircraft. I ended up running the old Bridgeport at the direction of the owner's father because they liked my precision. If I centered up the x/y axis the movement of the bed when measured at the end was a full 1/4". That machine was completely worn out. The gibs & ways were shot. But I managed to make some good parts with it. But the material had to be clampled perfectly. The owner had another Bridgeport that was huge with old school NC card reader controls. But he wouldn't let me use it.

I have a y axis that is not retracting however will feed forward. Do you know of a schematic that may help me trouble shoot what is happening in there?
