I smoked tough for over a decade. I've been sober for nearly 3 months from cannabis. I watch this video and relate to a lot of it. I also read the comments and notice how all of the negative comments are written by ppl who clearly still use and abuse cannabis. I also notice that I used to find myself saying the exact same things other comments are saying. The most important thing I realize however is that these other people commenting took the effort to search for a video on marijuana intervention, so I guess actions speak louder than words. Get sober, you will thank yourself for it.

@James I was abusing it and put off too much shit I had to do. I will always believe that people can be very much functional using cannabis if their life is together. It's just not for me....

Anyone can develop a dependency / addiction to anything. Whether that is gaming, eating, or even weed, it is possible. Don't assume that just because it is weed, that you can't develop an issue with it. Moderation is key and some people are incapable of moderation and they just go all in.

No pain clinic will give you any kind of narcotics if you use marijuana. That's always the way it goes because they consider that pain relief.

My Canadian PM loves Marijuana :) So Opioids are ok Marijuana is bad? How many people had died from Marijuana?? Marijuana is good. In Canada it is legal. My husband needs for Elpileci. Dr. give to him no problem. I'm coming out of 18 years of taking Oxycodone and Hydro Morphine going to only Marijuana. We are in our 40th and never use Stree drugs or miss use our prescription. I see how many people are dying. Dr has no idea what are they doing. with the Opioids.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that this Dr has never used marijuana. The only advice a Dr should be giving about weed is to recommend using a vaporizer vs smoking. If someone gets pain relief from marijuana and does not need opiates, hallelujah

I am going to have to wait until pot is legal in my state, and then try that for pain. My pain management dr. is killing me and I am never going back. I am weaning off what he has given me, he is a complete and utter asshole who yells at me, tells me I am a fail, and won't let me see a different dr. in the practice, cause that would make me a dr. shopper. Then he wonders why I cry and get upset when I go. What a racket!!

Yes out doctors are killing us! And another surprise: straight Oxycodone increases T levels thereby increasing energy and boosting mood

Sandra McBee I would have to agree with you. I am disgusted at pretty much all the doctors in my life, and have weaned myself off of almost all of my meds., tho they tell you that is not always safe. I just wrote a 9 page letter to my general doctor, telling him how all he has done is send me to specialist after specialist, and when one treated me badly, like calling me a felon, he just wrinkled his brow, and sent me to another. He really did nothing at all to help me. When I asked for a referral to another doctor, when insurance called for it, he gave me people who took NO insurance. I have lost faith in the medical establishment; all they do is hand out drugs. These drugs are very bad for us, but they do not even tell you what the effects are. Now I am very particular about whether I will follow their advice, or not. I do my own research. I go as little as possible. They like to think of themselves as a god, and a great healer. Not true!!! I hope you have not been hurt too much by these doctors. I hope I have not been, either.

I have also been astonished at the lack of skills of their staffs. They don't answer the phone, but put on recordings. Then they do not return your call, and you have to call again and again. They give you an appointment card, but do not put it into the computer. So then you go in and you are told you have no appointment, or the doctor is out sick, and no one bothered to call you. Instead of them calling me to remind me of my appointment, I call them to see if they know about it. They don't seem to be able to do anything right, and this happens A LOT. One doctor I currently go to has the worse staff I have EVER seen. I have told her so. One staff told me I signed a contract to come in every 3 months. I asked them to show it to me and they, "couldn't find it." Even after the doctor admitted there was no contract, they continued to lie to me. They also would not give me my prescription. I no longer go there, nor do I take the prescription. When I had to reach one doctor, I finally had to write to her; I could not get anyone to return my calls at the office!!

So, opioids can cause more pain, marijuana can cause anxiety, but what can being in severe pain every day do to a patient? 🤭 Severe pain every day can cause depression, anxiety, panic attacks, loss of employment, being called a drug seeker, and other issues. Amazing the ease at which he was willing to prescribe Sertraline, but what about the side effects of Sertraline? Loss of sex drive, erectile dysfunction, increased anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. When actually treating pain with an opiate can stop anxiety and depression from increasing, or stop either from starting in the first place. Amazing how prescribing an antidepressant or anti anxiety medication, plus offering counseling, is the norm now. Because the conversation that doesn’t happen is, we are terrified of the DEA, we’ve had addiction shoved down our throats, and the possibility of losing our license. Buprenorphine or Suboxone is handed out like candy, but Suboxone is one of the MOST addictive drugs you can take. Politics creeped its way into the doctor’s office, and has a profound effect on patient care. The opiate crisis & addiction percentages quoted for years, has been debunked as completely inaccurate and fabricated information. I wonder what the response would be if a doctor was told that they would face no penalties prescribing an opiate, and that the real possibility of a patient becoming addicted is approximately 1 - 2%. A PHYSICIAN WOULD MOST LIKELY PRESCRIBE AN OPIATE, BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY WORK!!! It wasn’t prescription opiates that caused the opioid crisis, it was illegal fentanyl. Plus most overdose deaths involve having more than one drug in a person’s system, and usually it’s an illicit drug. STOP THE MADNESS!!! STOP THE LIES!!! There’s going to be NUMEROUS lawsuits from pain patients due to leaving them in pain, which is a continuity of care issue. Physicians can be sued for this!!! OPIATE HYSTERIA!!! 🤬🤬🤬
