@Tammyaway7 жыл бұрын
Brienne keeps changing allegiances? Bullshit. She only switched to Catelyn after Renly died, and has since then spent her entire time keeping her oaths to Renly and Catelyn. She found both of Catelyn's daughters and has saved Sansa's life. If you want to hate her, that's fine, but at least don't do it for a nonsensical reason.
@kidprince85787 жыл бұрын
Tammyaway true. Brienne deserves more credit than people giving her. And don't you guys speak to me about "true kings". Fuck that. The true king is the one that has been chosen by his people. Renly was chosen, Robb was chosen, and they both deserved it, cuz people liked them and willingly followed them. Your "true" king Stannis burned his own daughter and everyone else who disagreed with him. He cut off Davos'es fingers and then hoped that he would become his hand. He's lucky that Davos is loyal. Stannis and Robert are two kinds of kings that I would never follow. They could bring only a war upon their people, and there's always a smallfolk who suffers first and most times only. With Renly as their king, and Tyrells at his back, this shit would never happened.
@kidprince85787 жыл бұрын
***** All I tried to say that the king should be the one who's being liked by his people. You can't expected treatory for that(well, at least it'll be less than otherwise). Renly's being loved, so was Margery. They would be a perfect rulers, cuz they would have tried to make peace with almost everyone, which means no war at all. At least I hope it would have ended like that. Robert wasn't beloved, and Stannis wouldn't be either. After people find out that he burned his own daughter, they'll likely rebel. Like - If he burned his own daughter to make himself warm, what stops him to burn me too?! Lets rebel! You say that Renly wouldn't make any difference, or even make it worse. That's why we have Olenna and Margery at his back. I never doubted Tyrells, especialy these two. Do you really think with them in the power, things would have gone worse? I also dislike the fact that people allow heirs of past kings to be new rulers. Joffery was terrible, and yet people gladly suffered and didn't even try to kill him, no one dared to rebell against that tyrant. Because they were afraid or simply accepted that "rightful" king? Varis could poison Joffery sooner, knowing that the boy would soon doom the Seven Kingdoms, but he didn't. I get it that you don't like Brienne. I see her as a loylal woman who avenged her king. False, rightful, doesn't matter. She avenged the king she choose to follow, and I respect that. Pycelle was a pain in the ass. I disliked him, but I admired his loyalty. If you wish to accept Stannis as a king just because he is the second brother of a king who overthrew Targeryans, also the rightful heirs, then by all means. I choose the ruler who would win wars with words, not swords. It might not be Renly, but Margery for sure.
@kidprince85787 жыл бұрын
***** Your view about all this is really different from mine. I only said what I think is right, like you do. Besides, do you have to know every little detail? You didn't convince me in anything. I know you wasn't trying, but still, nothing you said could make Stannis look better in my eyes. And the reason why I'm talking about Stannis burning his daughter is because once people will find out, they'll start to fear for their own life. If a man burned his flesh and blood, he could easily burn everyone else. Stannis might not do it, but nobody knows that. Deserters left and they gonna spread the word about his doing, and I doubt that a lot of people would support him after that. With exeption of those Red God followers.
@juanmarodriguez60107 жыл бұрын
+Gooby I agree with you because its clear you know a lot about the characters and their true motivations but... its necessary to take this so seriously? are we talking about real people, real historical events? NO , its just a book and a tv series, dont take it so seriously. Besides that you are right about people chosing their leaders, sometimes people dont know what they want or what they need, and im not talking about some fictional realm, its true in my own country...

@MyETProductions7 жыл бұрын
It's not a matter of experience if you are talking about the scene with Littlefinger...Sansa wanted Brienne's safety, I think GRRM has said himself that none really meant what they said in that scene (neither Sansa wanted Brienne to leave nor Petyr was as welcoming as he seemed).
@MintyCanRead7 жыл бұрын
***** No, I was actually comparing this to the scene where Brienne pledges allegiance to Sansa.
@MintyCanRead7 жыл бұрын
***** When I say Sansa is inexperienced, it's in the context of this situation. As you said, "she hadn't done anything similar before". Well, Catelyn was Lady of Winterfell and accustomed to commanding peoples' loyalty. Sansa's still learning and has a long way to go.
