My name is Bre. I took two years of small engine repair at the local college. When I left school, I fell into a wonderful job at a local small engine shop where I worked the counter for a couple years. In 2010 my husband and I opened up our own small engine shop in central Arkansas where I am able to work alongside my family and best friends. We see over 2,000 pieces of small engine equipment every year, and answer 1,000's of small engine questions. We specialize in brands such as Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Echo and Shindaiwa, but work everyday on MANY other brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, Craftsman, Remington, Red Max, Troy Bilt, Scag, Bad Boy, Hustler, World Lawn, Poulan, Mantis, Etc.. Hopefully, my experience I share, will save you Time, Money and Frustration in the future!

Happy Easter! Takes me back to the cruising days, since I. An older guy that was 1977 and up. Always had a lot of Chevy small blocks and the occasional Big blocks though most chevells had the 396, many Ford 289/302, 351 and 390s with an occasional 427 or 428, and of course Dodge/Plymouth with the big blocks and an occasion 340 or 360, and always a Hemi in there somewhere. Those were fun days!

Thanks for posting this! I have a 3 year old JD E series with the v-twin and the "Easychange" oil filter kit. They should call it "LazyChange" as in JD is to Lazy to provide a proper oil maintenance schedule. My previous JD LT133 lasted over 20 years and this one should as well. However I don't trust the Easychange system to actually change the oil. Seeing the carnage in that engine prompted me to order the conversion kit so that I can use a regular spin on oil filter and be able to exchange ALL of the engine oil at one time, rather than gradually over time.

JD wants you to blow them up, so they can sell you a new one. Engineered Obsolescence. Can't sell you a new one if the old one keeps going. 👎

My Father bought a new 1964 Minneapolis Moline "36"" cut with an 8 HP Kohler engine.. Mowed a 2.5 acre lawn for over 20 years plus I mowed the neighbors farm lawn and some their barn yard.. and mowed some Lake lots for some neighbors. It was loud and blew C0 into my face.. finally put a proper round muffler with a 90 angle off the motor and the exhaust mounted towards the front of the mower father away from my face. It was still running great when it got replaced with a much larger used John Deere.

No words on that Briggs, some people just don’t deserve power equipment, give them push mowers only and maybe a pair of scissors to trim with. Love the car show videos. Your 76 is my favorite body style, looks particularly hot in red! As a young driver I got to try my uncle’s 73. Just a stock Vette with an automatic and small motor but it was still fast and fun. An employee of his leased a new 76 same basic Corvette with the small motor and automatic. Man it was a dog with all that emissions crap compared to the 73. Those were the days! Last point, I have zero respect for any fool that abuses any vehicle to show off. They are only proving they have no brains or common sense, in my opinion.

that's not emissions hardware. the mid 70s was when they started detuning everything in an attempt to make it more fuel efficient. consider: my grocery getter has more horsepower than that 76 did, with only 2/3 the displacement.

@@kenbrown2808 thanks for the correction. My dad’s 76 Cutlass sucked compared to the 74 Cutlass we had at the same time. Both were 350 4bbl. The 76 was a dog too.

@@chatrkat I've driven a 76 and 78 Jeep, and in both cases, the original owner hacked up the emission control hardware, and both had problems. the second, I actually put in the work to get it to run right, but the first was always horribly cold blooded. in the second, it got 8MPG when I bought it, and had an absolute top speed of 75 MPH. when I got done, it got 13 MPH, and I don't have the guts to confirm the top speed. the math says it will redline at 100.
