In this video time lapse (no background noise) i tear down an older Briggs & Stratton Intek engine and prepare it for a total full rebuild, new piston, piston rings & new connecting rod.

How can I get the torx 40 to break the bolt free should I use heat or just keep searching for the magic torx socket that won't break. Right now I'm all in and this part has presented itself as a challenge.

try a 40IP Torx Plus socket, some newer engines are use that, regular torx will break.

Are all the intek single cylinder riding mower pistons the same? I need a used piston. I say used because the top of piston was damaged not the cylinder side.

No, all engines are different and i would highly recommend new internal parts, never go used! everything with Briggs goes by the code/serial number for compatibility.

If my Craftsman LT1000 has 2 blades can I take 1 blade off and cut my grass my deck is 42

No, you can't, it is not designed for that.

why would you even cut with one blade ??? if a smaller cut get a push mower or get someone too mow for you ??

It's easier for me to work on the ground than up on a work bench, i have a bench but it's quite high off the ground and riding mower engines are quite heavy to lift up on a table, it's easier for me and easier for the camera to see if i'm on the ground. Plus my employee usually uses my work table for 2 cycle equipment. Plus if the weather is nice i usually work outdoors anyways.
