You don't need a rig that expensive but I do love what briggsy is doing

You definitely want a rig capable of taking on some heavy drag and heat dissipation work when fighting sharks and monster pelagics. The Stella and Saltiga are the most popular, Makaira and Torque are good but not as smooth as the first two. You can catch huge fish on a lot less, but there are plenty of sob stories (I have a couple to share) that ____ reel would have had the capacity, or ____ rod would have had the backbone... If you want to take tackle failure out of the equation, you pay a pretty penny for it.

And it all culminated on that big Kublai prototype that I saw was heading to you in his post!! Very unique look and shape, incredible foiling, finish is insane, and I think it’s safe to say you’ve thoroughly tested the build/structural integrity haha....and then first cast it hooks up and kicks off what imo is the best GT ledge day I’ve ever seen you post. Greatest lure of all time?

Hi Mate, never had line snap at the guide with Fuji guides (or any other guides), never really thought about it but most rods i've ever used have had fuji guides i think, so I'm prolly no good for a casting distance comparison. I also tend to negate anything good the rod is meant to do by going wild with my casts haha
