I wouldn't say they didn't let him play in the US. At least they were consistent about their vaccine stand and Novak chose not to get the shot. Australian authorities on the other hand were disgusting. No problem in 2021 when the pandemic was at its peak but suddenly in 2022 they had a problem after allowing him to enter.

@pradg7362 Can you imagine how many more grand slam titles he would have had if he was allowed to play in the US open all these years, not to mention that one australian open absence which he would have most likely won if allowed to play in it as he is virtually unbeatable in Australia. He would have at least been at 26 grand slams if not more. Novak is truly the one and only GOAT of tennis.

@@Whatreally123: In early 2021 there was no vaccine available in Australia... ...it only became available in late February 2021 - well after the Australian Open . As such the US is the same as Australia. You either accepted choice for vaccine or not. Australia changed their stance towards "not" way in front of the US.

@kubura762: they let him play in UK - then he lost after winning... ...but they also let him play in France - where he won after losing. I can't really see any correlation about him playing or not. However, in 2011, 2015, 2021 and 2023 Djokov1c wins 3 GS🏆 in a calendar year. The only constant is he wins AO each time 🤔 👻 Mmmm, conclusion - Djokov1c's just great! 🐐👍

I was not always a fan but when he stood up and refused to get vaccinated even though it meant being refused entry to many countries, which prevented him from competing in tournaments. That speaks volumes about the integrity of this man. He probably saved thousands of lives by setting this example. I have a huge love and respect for Novak. You're a hero in my eyes forever ❤❤❤

I’m not sure if those ppl are haters or just morons; even if he had never won a slam after that, he is undoubtedly better than every other tennis player on earth. There is zero shame in losing a five-set match to a 20-year-old who is in peak form. Novak is the one with nothing to lose and nothing left to prove; he has accomplished everything possible in tennis. Alcaraz was the one who needed to prove that he belongs on the biggest stage.

All three are good people. I would still favor Djokovic. As a person who also protects the rights of his colleagues. Don't forget this.
