Bring Breadfruit home for recipe - Breadfruit tree in my village - Harvest Sake fruit dessert

This is what breadfruit tree and it's fruit look like in my village. Many people was confused and someone couldn't identified what to called it.
Actually, it's called sake in my region and it's could be used in various recipe as well.
You know, it's texture, when it cooked, is similar to cassava for lotus root.
So you might imagine the taste when it's become to dessert like this, right.
To me I can say "it absolutely yummy".

I love breadfruit!!! In Jamaica we roast it first, then slice and fry it. We make it into breadfruit chips. We make it like mashed potatoes as well. Lots of ways to eat and prepare breadfruit. It’s delicious! 🇯🇲💞🙌🏽🇯🇲

I love how you involve your bothers in everything!! You are teaching them life skills that every young person should learn. I have three grown boys and I taught them to cook and bake. I am from Mumbai ,there are a few who have these trees . Once my neighbor gave me a few But I did not know what to do with it , as I was eating it for the first time. She said you have to peal it and deep fry it as they do it the same way. It taste good . But not easy to peal it . Here too they call it bread fruit. You guys have so much of fun on your other blog it is so nice I enjoy watching it good times climbing trees and eating fresh fruits be yourself fun time. Nothing like going all this got to have fun too . Your family is so nice .

Hummm very interesting! Here in Brazil this fruit is called in portuguese FRUTA-PÃO. I like to eat the boiled seeds, accompanied with coffee. It's delicious!!!! But the fruit has to be ripe. Otherwise it isn't possible to cook as it will be difficult to peel the seeds.

The seeds of *breadfruit* (also known as pana or artocarpus altilis) are incredibly tiny even when mature. It is a different fruit. Fruta- pão is known as *breadnut* , pana de pepita or Artocarpus camansi. The trees look virtually identical (I grow both) and the only difference is that one of the fruit has spike skin and the other is bumpy skin. Altalis is peeled and the flesh eaten boiled, fried, in desserts and the core (with the small seeds) is usually discarted. Camansi* we usually wait until over riped, get rid of the flesh and the peel and boil the seeds. The seeds are brown shell, creamy white inside, and it has the consistency of a barely cooked potato. Firm but not crunchy.

You are referring to jackfruit. It's similar in appearance to the breadfruit. On first look I thought it was a young jackfruit. I could say they're like the apple and the peach.

I just love them. In Brazil we have them with seeds and without seeds. I grow up eating it. I spent some time in Puerto Rico island and over there they have so much of it, they call it Pana Pen . They are amazing!!

Aqui no Brasil essa fruta se chama fruta pão. Uma delícia no café da manhã. Tudo nessa árvore se aproveita. As filhas secas serve para fazer chá que diminui o colesterol e fortalece o coração, a fruta tem inúmeras vitaminas. A seiva serve para matar parasitas intestinais. Amo!!!
