Please boycott this hotel: it is owned by the dictatorial family from Qatar. Apart from all the classics (no freedom of speech, no free press, tortures…), LGBT people are persecuted and women are second class citizens. If all that is not enough, migrant workers from poor asian countries (Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, India…) work there in near-slavery conditions , specially during the construction of the infrastructures of the recent football cup. Give your money to someone else. Javi Caballero (Spain).

Vasile State, in best restaurants you are not allowed to do what you say while clearing the plates...I guest at The Ritz you can only take 3 plates and no stacking over so no need to do anything with knifes and forks..so what they did was ok

How you shoud clean the plate ??cutelry must be puted in one plate knife adn fork on the top and you clean oane time 4 plate and the second waiter 4 plate . The headwaiter is ok but he must control the table ........:)

Huge no, cleaning plates st the table absolutely not acceptable. Better to rush out the plates 3 at a time, two waiters and manager should be quick enough 1.5 settings each (4 or 5 places per trip total). Dump food plates and chargers on service table, take care of uneaten food later. I was taught remove from left, so its interesting Ritz is more easy to follow, everything from the right.
