Saying that in 2016, BabyMetal was being interviewed on Scuzz TV at Download . When asked which bands they liked, BMTH name was mentioned . To which the interviewer said, "Could we see a collaboration coming up . The girls smiled and looked as if they liked the idea of a collaboration. Did he plant the idea of this collaboration all the way back to then 🤣 in a recent interview, BabyMetal, after watching SlipKnot from backstage . Su said she would love to do a collaboration with SlipKnot to see what chemistry they would make . She said she would love to go running all over the stage, headbanging or words close to that .🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。They performed "REAL" Kingslayer (BMTH+BM on stage together) 4 times in Japan last year as a special rendition in the festival curated and hosted by BMTH. I witnessed the 2nd REAL one in Nagoya on Nov.1. That was mesmerizing 😍 and I forgot to breathe during the performance. And the two groups performed this song together again in Las Vegas on April 27 this year. I hope they would perform this song in Europe because the two groups are scheduled to appear in the same festivals 2 or 3 times in June.

CiRCUS HeAD is the editor and director of this videoclip and he also is behind another BM song released after this but in the same festival called "METALI!!", you can enjoy it after this to meet BM songs and wonderful journey. Funny you're talking about BMTH changing their sound or not sounding like they used to be, BM is pretty much like them, don't get comfy with BM sound, they barely got a song alike to another and I guess that's probably one of the reasons BMTH love them too. Afaik Oli is the one doing the backing growling. This was the best 2020 collab between these two great bands and we finally got this collab on the stage together after so much time waiting for it. BMTH performed at Southside Festival in Germany and Hellfest Festival, there's a nice proshot version but with only BabyMetal backing track vocals, luckily now we got this amazing clip showing them sharing the same stage at Makuhari Messe during a festival called "NEX_FEST" ending October and starting November last year, and they did it not only once but four times in a row, everyone went bonkers with these, you can also find fancams of each night showing some different interactions at the end between Oli and the girls, SuMetal thanked to BMTH in all of them, that's the only thing i can complain about this clip but it's cool anyway. BMTH couldn't have better collab on their latest album Post Human Survival Horror, there are some others really good songs there thou but this one is just on another level. My suggestions are: "Parasite Eve" and "Teardrops", also "Ludens" from Death Stranding OST videogame. This song was produced by Mick Gordon, the same behind videogames like Doom, Wolfenstein and Prey, so you can feel the vibes here. They're friends since 2015 when met each other at Kerrang Awards so the collab was almost naturally unavoidable. They even performed as a support band for BabyMetal and Oli praise the Fox God too (atheist, dame, zettai)🦊🤘 The drum&bass instrumental intro on this song is called "Itch For The Cure" which is clearly a tribute to Linkin Park song "Cure For The Itch", but the short animation and dialogue wasn't part of the album track, it's a reference to Metal Gear Solid videogame created by Hideo Kojima, they got another MGS tribute song called "Shadow Moses" and later in 2019 they were part of Death Stranding OST, another Hideo Kojima game. Also you can find a short documentary about the making of this song where Oli said interesting things about the method they worked with the BM team and giving multiple choice of doing this. To be honest, most Babymetal fans were like "it's about time!" With all the comments in interviews, this collaboration was a long time coming. Kingslayer is actually the second attempt, they tried a collab some unspecified time earlier but the song didn't turn out and wasn't finished.

They did it in America for the first time at Sick New World fest! Saw it myself it was incredible

BMTH and BABYMETAL first met in the UK in 2015 and they have been good friends ever since - they often spoke of wanting to collaborate. In 2019 BABYMETAL invited BMTH to tour with them in Japan and they opened at 4 of their big arena concerts, it was after those shows that BMTH seemed to take off in Japan. This song was recorded in 2020. Originally BABYMETAL sent their contribution entirely in English. Oli Sykes from BMTH asked them to include some Japanese. It took 3 years before they could get together to perform the song live - this happened around the start of November 2023 at the NEX_FEST events that BMTH had arranged in Japan where this video was filmed. BABYMETAL had already played their own set and they came back out at all 4 events to join BMTH on stage for this song ... and I'm sure you could see how much fun they were having together. It wasn't the opening song of the BMTH set - I think it was actually towards the end, maybe the first encore song. They did it again just a couple of weeks or so ago at Sick New World in Las Vegas where they were both playing.
