Idk man them steering hoses are geranteed to have some rubber and metal crud inside from the cutoff wheel … no good inside a hydraulic cylinder/pump

I knew when I saw the small tires on it the first time it was going to be sketchy and then when they got out there seeing how soft the suspension was that something was going to give. They definitely did a bit better this time around. That thing sounds freaking awesome 👌

Nice. A snorkel installed with no air filter . Guys, I really hope you’ll add some reinforcement plates to your front shock hoops before they tear out of the frame. Also a crossover brace between the hoops is standard out west for a reason. Those hoops will flex inward.

Why did you leave your rear shock mounts BELOW the axle? You're just going to constantly hit them and damage them. Put them at 1/4 to 1/2 way up from the bottom of the axle to ensure you're not going to cause problems.

Woooo , that Steering ram needs to be as Close to the tie rod as it can !! U don't want that ram push/pull at a Angle !!!

They acknowledge making a "spaghetti factory of the wiring" and then add to it. For off-roading and submersion. Great plan.

Those hoses hanging down like that will get ripped off if you drove that truck up here in Canada. Good idea, not so good in application. You need to redo those hose's to protect them from getting snagged on stuff when off road.

The Toyota FJ80 snorkel as it is almost a perfect fit, same one I used. You should have filled the snorkel with sand when bending it to prevent kinks, old school tube bending method. Turn the vent around when splashing water, that should be a given.

Love the fact that you guys built a suburban. And glad that you fixed some issues from the last episode but it looks like there’s still some stuff that isn’t perfect. 1 being the fact that you don’t even have an air filter.

After you rip off the steering lines, route new ones down parallel to the track bar.

I have my parents 91 suburban they bought brand new a year before I was born and drove it my whole child hood until I turned 16 then I got it cause at that point they wasn't daily driving it anymore for last 5 years and we did a partially restoration on it refreshed the 454 that my dad put in it few years before 7.5 inch lift with double off road fox racing adjustable racing shocks and suspension with mickey Thompson short course/stadium super truck tires on aero off road racing rims partial roll cage for weight savings and took out the rear seats and bench seats and installed 8 racing seats with racing belts cuse why not it's cool and fun and all you gotta do is release 4 pins and a bolt on each seat to remove it I'm 30 now and I did more work to it now it's my ultimate off-road toy I can jump it and all and it's not a rough ride like you think with the 454 big block, I have jumped it 50 feet and about 8 foot on the air the bottom of tires was out on sand dunes and it felt like I didn't even jump it landed so softly

Not to tell you guys what to do but the hydro assist lines should be run and secured to the tie rod or drag link and run up to the box. The way they are now will get snagged or smashed into by rocks and sticks. If you turn the assist fittings to where they face each other it's cleaner and makes it to where nothing hits them.

@@TacoXL When your right your right. I run leaf springs with assist so I had to secure mine to my tie rod and run longer hoses but in this case with a non side to side moving track bar your right about mounting the hoses to it.

that thin c channel frame wasnt going to cut it, start with a solid truck frame. Dodge was the first to have a solid boxed frame from front to rear.

Did you say 16.5" rim? Do those have an upgraded interior safety lip to keep the bead from popping off when you air down?

Ok, I run super swampers. you need bead locks to run the pressures necessary for the best traction with them (8-10lbs), also what were you thinking putting a snorkel on the outside of a full body, first encounter with trees/brush its gone. Other wise great full size build.

I would turn the snorkel head backwards before hitting water holes. Use 1/2" for the coilover brackets in the rear.

I know square body fenders are relatively inexpensive and all, but the ugly snorkel ruins the look of it and unfortunately destroyed the fender.

It looked like your shocks were making contact with the lower mounts. The hoses for the hydro assist I feel like should have been longer and managed by strapping them to the track bar. When you cut the hydraulic line with a cutoff wheel did you clean out the inside? 16.5-inch wheels? That’s something you should probably talk about. Also, it’s ‘lock to lock’ not ‘bump to bump’ when talking about steering.

I would have ran the hoses down the frame close to the four link mounts then down the link bar and to the ram. It’s vulnerable hanging out front.

That rear suspension is going to do the same thing again. With the length of the arms and the small angle they are at the rear axle will move over again. It needs a rear track bar/watts link to keep the rear axle centered! It to mention moving those shock mounts up at least behind the axle so they don’t get caught again. And not sure on your steering setup. Those lines are going to get ripped off.
