Love the truck. It has so much potential. What you two did was slap some parts on it and painted the block. That’s not a restoration. It’s a get it running to sell. Pretty disappointing job.

That’s BAD he says 🤷‍♂️. Try explaining that to the fool that put the water in it. It’s a sealed component and water just doesn’t enter without help from a good ole boy genius 🙈

Probably an old seal let in water from driving through water
@danielwilson6665

@@Project_Freedom1 That will definitely cause it. A leaking seal could also be the reason no gear lube came pouring out with the water 🏁

I can’t begin to tell everyone what a great cause this is. There is so many veterans and first responders living on the streets. I don’t believe people realize what they are going through. Some of them with their entire family, even little kids, are living on the street. If there is any charity worth giving to, this is one of the top.

You guys should've looked at the engine stands that SuperFlow uses for their engine dynos. Much more universal and could've saved a lot of time.

I'd rather have a 300 than a small block, no contest. Truck owners should remember trucks got those engines for very good reasons and they were produced for industry long after emissions regs took them out of street vehicles.

Sure would like the part number for the pistons. I've never seen a true flat top piston for this engine. (It's not listed in build parts section.) Silvolites have a dish with no valve relief. Go look at time frame 9:06 to 9:08 in video. The piston visible in bore 6 has valve reliefs. Not the same piston shown earlier in video. Also questionable is the use of poly loks on the rocker studs. These should not clear the stock valve cover without stacking multiple gaskets. Well......

So glad to see a slight resurgence in the mini truck scene 💯 I used to have a 95' Splash Ranger which was lowered, custom paint and dropped a 5.0 V8 in it 🤙🏼 mini truckin' is so fun! ❤️

WD40 for a week then heat the block carefully if possible and it should break free but anyway you cut it it needs new pistons and bores.

I'd like to see a dyno comparison VS an LS bottom end. I wonder what the windage differences are. If better windage is desired I"d probably go with a PROPERLY knife edged crank than drilling holes to balance. My guess is windage differences are probably minimal with a dry sump.

I’ve seen an engine, a ford 289 I think it was, it was found on the remains of a jet boat that was recovered from the salt water, was soaked in a few chemicals, rust remover, salt remover, and god knows what else but the block was bead blasted, pistons were removed piece by piece, head bolt pockets drilled and retapped, line bored, a .030 cylinder bore and a lot of new parts and a running engine was born. It is still to this day a running engine in a 2 door ford maverick. Even as a mechanic myself it amazes me how far destroyed an engine can be and still be repaired

I have what’s called a BF FAIRLAINE (G8) with a 5.4 ltr boat anchor. But I have in my shed a ready to drop in 5.4 ltr 4 valve 355kw with super charger. I should mention the 5.4 ltr currently used is Factory with 3 valve. That’s correct the same manufacturer in Canada it’s been very good to me. As I’ve upgraded the timing belts and the fase changers along with the crappy plastic timing chain guides. Seriously what was FORD SERIOUSLY THINKING? . Especially on the last ever built Failane after 60 years of some beautiful production V8 models in Ford Australian mussel car manufacturering. Including the now multi million dollar 1971 Xy Gt HO PHASE 3 . 4 Speed top loader double clutch plate to suit. It was a family production car that could hit 145 MPH. IMPRESSIVE IN THEM DAYS ESPECIALLY IN AUSTRALIAN MOTOR RACING. BUT IT COULD NEVER EVER BE ACHIEVED W ITH OUT 🇺🇸American AMAZING FORD RACING HISTORY. IM GOING TO STRENGTHEN THE SUSPENSION UP GRADE THE BREAKS AND TURN MY TWO TON BEAUTIFUL LUXURY FORD INTO A 5.5 second 100 metre run. 12 second quarter mile? IT WILL HAPPEN. WHEN YOU WORK ALONE BOY YOU GET ALOT DONE. LOVING YOUR MOTOR BEAUTIFUL.🇦🇺🇺🇸👍❤️
