Ensuring safe childbirth practices is crucial for maternal health, especially in Yemen, where over half of women give birth at home, often in rural areas, exposing them to increased risks. JSI, with USAID, has supported 27 skilled community midwives to establish home-based clinics in remote and inaccessible areas, providing essential maternal, newborn, and child health services, along with family planning, to over 44,000 individuals.
Watch how dedicated midwives are bringing essential health care closer to families in remote areas, ensuring safer childbirth practices and improving maternal and child health outcomes.
