From a die-hard Bruins fan... I always had great respect for the Minnesota Wild and the impact they've had on the NHL. A respectable organization, (not to mention the greatest and most creative logo ever) the Wild should skate with the Stanley Cup very soon.

My brother just recently passed from a very sudden and extremely fast case of Lou Garrick syndrome. As I watched this and the first image of the civic center brought back my childhood memories of my brother during state high school hockey tournaments. He became a legend and he never touched the ice. He made a costume wore face paint and he ran up, down and around that whole arena working the crowd. From our small town of Hibbing Mn the legend of the sheik rose and showed up year after year. He created such a stir and soon every hockey and football team had fans wearing face paint and a person in costume working the crowd….

Me too.. My family had season tickets to the Northstars for their 1st 19 seasons. I was going to Northstars games after I was born in 81 till my family moved out of state in in 86. Still have many fond memories of Broten, Dino, & Bellows at the beautiful Met Center. Never been to a Wild game, tried liking the Wild, but the name & that man-bear-pig logo....just couldn't do it. At the last Northstars game at the Met there were some fans that had a sign that said something like "they may become the Lone Stars but they'll always be OUR STARS". That's the case with me.

@tscheats81542 жыл бұрын
@@danbratten3103 I’m sure almost every Minnesotan felt and thought the same- memories of the North Stars and our franchise ripped from our hands in 93. Even The Met getting demolished-which is now the Mall of America. I remember going to Minnesota moose games at the old Civic Center, downtown St. Paul and Minnesota Gopher games in Minneapolis because we had no NHL franchise. Personally I think the logo is awesome, maybe not the “man bear pig” but the trees, lakes and wildlife that are native to the land. The Stanley Cup Playoffs at the Excel Energy Center are crazy, especially those inaugural years shown in this video. This current team Billy G has built over the past couple years and getting those 4 key, character guys at this years deadline has made this team a contender. I can’t wait to be in a full barn at the X. It’s going to be the loudest that place has ever been. I suggest you should go to a game here in St. Paul to experience downtown and the Excel, the people, the food. I’m sure it will bring back memories of you and your family, like it did for me. Inside the building at the X is something to see in person too. CHEERS from a Minnesota hockey nut🍻

I think this could be a very big rivalry once things get back to normal and these 2 teams are back in the same division. It hasn't heated up yet but I think it will soon. Minnesota looks very good this year and Dallas has looked very good the past few years and took a step back this year. I'm looking forward to these 2 playing again.
