Today is Neo's first day home after his cochlear implant surgery. We are so grateful that he was able to have a successful bilateral CI Surgery and will finally be able to hear us soon. He will no longer have to wear his hearing aids or have to do sign language. We are going to continue practicing ASL because we feel that is what is best for Neo as he is still Deaf and part of the Deaf community. We want him to be able to help as many people as he could and we hope that his hearing loss journey can help other parents who's children are in similar situations as Neo. Thank you all again for all of your prayers for Neo. Stay tuned because this big boy is turning 1 years old in next video and we are throwing him an ultimate birthday party.

Nothing challenges a parents heart then their child going thru surgery. Giving them to the nurses and doctors before is tough. Seeing your child after in recovery is so breaking for any parent. Then the healing process. It's so hard. Been there and still remember it all. Sending hugs and love to you all. You can do it.

My favorite part was watching Neo and Cristal sleeping while Niko was talking. He kept playing with her hand and the blanket soothing himself to sleep 🥰🥰 my heart ❤️

Nick, you and Cristal are such good partners and parents. Have prayed for this lil fella☺️. Neo is a hero, but mom and dad are too because most of the time we had rather go thru something than to have our kids have to. You are both going to do well, I know you are worried Nick cause u are not a Dr but follow the instructions from Dr, go with your instincts and parents and when u have concerns, u call that Dr. They probably expect, no...would rather u call than to be unsure. Can't wait for him to hear all of u. He will be overwhelmed at first but oh the joys of hearing...mom, dad, Bella, ur lil dog and music, oh music 😃. I love your family! I'm so pleased that you will get to celebrate Neo's birthday without having to worry about his surgery etc. You still managed to make Christmas wonderful for your children even though Neo's surgery was postponed. Neo and Abella are so gorgeous and cute! Good luck for next month! I am sure that everything will go well for Neo and I can't wait for him to be able to hear. I wonder how he will react to Abella's squealing when she giggles! You are both amazing parents who are loving and caring and have adopted a sensible yet fun approach towards parenthood. You have been so brave and have coped admirably. Cristal, you look so beautiful and feminine when you're signing to Neo. I hope this will have a positive effect/influence on others and encourage them to learn to sign. Maybe one day when you have more time, you will be able to go on a course to teach others perhaps? Neo is such a great baby with minimal stress and hopefully he will continue on his recovery👍🥰💞 His double birthdays are going to be remembered forever as he hears mom and dad’s voices❣️Let the event be soft and gentle, no matter if you’re super excited because from experience, hearing loudly after being hard of hearing into adulthood, can still be bewildering and the sounds are so loud, even now after twenty years I need to stuff a small piece of soft tissue paper in that ear when watching an I Max movie. I hope Neo’s hearing birthday will be one of tremendous joy for all 😃💯💕💝

I’m glad he is ok! This brought me back to my baby having his surgeries and we still have a long road ahead of us but he is doing great! We did speech therapy for years and he is doing amazing today! Neo will be great bc of the support and love he has!

My dad has a cochler implant. He received his cochler implant several years ago. It was such an awesome gift from God. My dad became slowly deaf as an adult. I hope that Neo does well with his cocher implant. You will be amazed at how well he can hear once the cohler implants are turned on. Please keep me updated on Neo's progress.
