Bringing water meter box up to grade

Glad I saw your video before I tackled this. I was prepping to dig a big hole for 4 separate sprinkler valve covers. This is way simpler.

Im already tired of trying to level the yard and am on my 1st year But 68 yards of dirt has got me ready for it to be over lol

It's never going to be over unfortunately. Leveling is a multi year process. 😬

I have the opposite problem - my water meter box is slightly up too far, and I'm always afraid that I'm going to hit it with my rotary blade while mowing. I would like to lower it down into the ground by 1/2"-1" or so.

I would open it to see what the bottom is resting on. If it's dirt or clay, just lift up the box, dig under where it will rest and put the box back on. It will take a few tries to determine how much dirt you will need to remove
