Bristol suitcase bodies: Suspect’s potential plans to dispose of human remains foiled

Bristol Live’s Tristan Cork tells #TimesRadio it’s possible the suspect intended to dispose of the bodies in the river but did not realise until he arrived at Clifton Suspension Bridge that the area was manned.

And rather than wait until the prisons are already full, then tell judges to STOP SENDING PEOPLE TO PRISON, then release prisoners in a rush to make space, Labour are thinking ahead and taking time to choose carefully who does get released. The Tories released 10000 prisoners early, between October and June alone! (source: Ministry of Justice) - did that figure make it into your echo-chamber?

Not that long ago bodies regularly came floating down the Thames. Boatmen were paid to pick them up. Most were never identified. Most people never heard about them because there was no radio, no television, no telephone, no internet. Nowadays we all get to hear about anything bad that happens any where in the world within minutes so it appears that it's all bad, bad, bad - but it isn't really!

As a former Bristolian, there are only a limited number of places to cross the Avon/Floating Harbour. If you know the city, then you know that the Suspension Bridge is a toll road and has been for years. You also know that it was a favourite suicide spot and that led to the erecting of the security precautions that stopped the suitcases.
