I have been to many exciting games, including National Championships, but I have never experienced ANYTHING like that one. The radio announcer, Rod Bramblett (RIP), did an incredible job calling that play. I grew up with Rod and was very good friends with him through high school and college at Auburn. The domed stadiums used to be the loudest. In 1993, the Minnesota Twins set a record for loudest sports event. I think the reached like 130db at times. As far as recent football moments, the Seahawks and the Chiefs were setting records, back-and-forth, for awhile. The Chiefs stadium is one of the oldest in the NFL, but when it was built, it was a very futuristic design. It's been among the loudest for several decades. The Seahawks call their crowd "The 12th Man". It's built with some of the same characteristics as the Chiefs.

At 11:05, for context that was the Chicago Cubs' first World Series win in 108 years. In 1945, the Cubs were supposedly cursed by a local pub owner because he wasn't allowed to bring his pet goat into the stadium. It became known as the Curse of the Billy Goat and the Cubs didn't win another World Series until 71 years later when they came back from a 3-1 series deficit to defeat the then Cleveland Indians 4-3 in the best of 7 series.

I've been going to pro sports and college sports games from the time I was a little kid and was lucky enough to go to a bunch of Vikings and Twins games at the metrodome as well as do the jump around at Badgers games. I can tell you this, the loudest noise I've ever experienced was the 163 game at the metrodome against Detroit. The twins and tigers were tied after 162 games and this was the first tie break game in baseball I think maybe ever in over 100 years to make the playoffs. It went to extra innings in the metrodome and the twins won on a walkoff hit. The metrodome was louder than any other vikings or jump around Badgers game I've ever been to and I was there for Moss, Favre, Adrian, NFL playoffs, all that. That was the loudest roar I've ever heard in a stadium but nobody ever brings it up on these videos

That touchdown was great and I got a great shot of Kendall’s huge grin as he came in to score. However, my favorite moment was RG3’s touchdown pass to Terrance Williams with 8 seconds left to win the game followed by the fans rushing the field! It was a massive win for Baylor and pretty much got RG3 his Heisman. The best game I’ve ever been to.

The run was 11 years ago in a NFL playoff game between the Seattle Seahawks and the defending Super Bowl champions the New Orleans Saints. Every team in the NFL and every sports analysts said the Seahawks had no chance in hell in beating the Saints. But they did beat the Saints and it was because of this run. When Marshawn Lynch scored that touchdown and plowed through the Saints entire defense the 68,740 Seahawk fans at the stadium lost their minds. The Seahawk fans at the stadium were so loud and jumping around so much that the nearby Pacific Northwest Seismic Network station registered there activity as a 2.0 earthquake. A hail mary is when the trailing team only has enough time for one last play before end of regulation. The pass is thrown directly into the endzone which is usually packed with defenders as well. If against all odds a player from the trailing team comes down with the ball they complete the hail mary to win or force overtime.

Kabir, back in 1968, there was a local high school that made it down to the Illinois State Basketball Finals. By Sat. aft., the original 8 had been pared down to 4, and the winner of this game would be one of the schools in the finals that night. They played a school from the opposite end of the state, and it was back and forth the entire game, and even went into double overtime. At the buzzer of overtime #2, a desperation shot was put up--and the other team won. What an exciting game, even though the wrong team won. I was watching at home, and couldn't stay in my chair.

I'm shocked that the Miracle on Ice was not included. Perhaps it was not as loud in terms of overall volume (total attendance was well under 10,000), but it was absolute bedlam. When Mike Euruzione (whose name, in Italian, literally means "eruption") scored the go-ahead goal against the Soviets, the roof came off that barn. When the clock struck zero, it was almost anticlimactic. It was as if everyone in the building said to himself, "I'm not dreaming. That just happened, right?".

The Cubs. Imagine your team has won whatever Championship in their sport. Now multiply what you're feeling by a million. That will give you a clue to what all of us Cubs fans were feeling that night. 108 years, which meant nobody alive saw the Cubs win the World Series. Prior to 2016, the last Cubs World Series appearance was 1945, so maybe your dad or grandpa got to see them in the series. Being a Cubs fan is a generational thing. Kids became fans because dad is a Cubs fan and dad became a fan because his dad was a fan. Personally, my mom is a Cubs fan and so am I. After they won, there were adult kids that visited the graves of whomever made them a fan (usually the parents) to tell them the Cubs had won. I remember crying tears of joy, flat on my back on my living room floor, for 20 minutes after they won. My poor husband kept asking me if I was ok. The parade, which came a couple of weeks after they won, was attended by 5 million people. Chicago itself had about 2.7 million residents in 2016. I knew a few people that went to the parade. They had an absolute blast. If you're interested, the Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals, who are huge rivals, are playing a 2-game series in London on June 24 & 25, 2023.

That record was broken in 2021when Tennessee played Ole Miss who were coached by Lane Kiffin. It was measured to be a whopping 118 decibels at one point. No one volunteer or volunteer fan can stand Lane Kiffin because he was head coach at Tennessee for just one season, a good one considering, and he just left. The loudest college football crowd ever recorded was in 1992 when the Washington Huskies hosted the Nebraska Corn Huskers. An eardrum busting 133+ decibels. I just cannot imagine.

As an American, the loudest crowd reaction I have ever seen actually came from the UK when Kun Aguero scored the winning goal to win Man City the Premier League back in 2012. Prior to that, I had never seen fans/supporters storm the field outside of college football. One of the greatest sports moments of the last 30 years in my view.

The Seattle Seahawks Crowd is known as The 12 Man. The crowd can get so loud that it can effect the players on the field.

That last one was EPIC. So much so that a decade later Houston fans are still LIVID to the point that a year or two ago a guy actually dressed as David Freese for a villain themed Halloween party

I’ve only been to one Seahawks game. Had great seats right by the Arizona side line. Larry Fitzgerald was playing then. He was amazing! I was never able to get tickets to see the NY Giants. Unfortunately. Been to many Yankees games growing up. Only a few Mets and Knicks. Never been to a Rangers or Islanders game.

FYI...a "hail mary" in football is when there isn't enough time to drive down the field before the clock runs out in the 4th quarter. You throw a deep pass and hope your guy catches it. It's a final play of the game...one last chance. Successfull ones are few and far between, hence them being called a hail mary.

Some of these won championships like 5:55. Not a Hail Mary because it wasn't intentionally thrown into a bunch of waiting receivers.

I have a hard time wondering why a video about loudest crowd moments didn't feature the Guinness World Record for loudest open outdoor air stadium. Arrowhead Stadium (now GEHA/Arrowhead) hit a record of 142.2 decibels during a 2014 game that wasn't even a sold out event. This is why they say the Kansas City Chiefs always have an extra man on the field because the fans are so loud when we're on defense that the offense can't hear their own play calls!

That Indiana buzzer against Kentucky was 1 of 2 UK losses that season. UK destroyed them in the tournament later that year on their way to National title and having 2 players go with the first 2 picks in the draft. 5 first round picks. They were wicked good. Anthony Davis was on that squad. Check out his college highlights or that entire team.

That was one of the last times IU vs UK played every year it used to be tradition for those 2 schools to play every December I remember it well at that time UK was known as a 1 and done school as most of the players played only 1 year then went into the NBA Draft IU was more of the traditional school where the players played all 4 years of eligibility
