Houston has a huge underground tunnel system, too. But instead of because of frigid winters, it's because of horrid heat. There's banks, shops, services, restaurants, and hotels underground.

Temperature perspective gets me every time. In South Carolina today, it was a mere 32°C with a heat index of 42°C & my AC was set to 23°C to COOL down. It's now 11:30PM & I have my AC set to 22°C because it's currently 28°C outside with a heat index of 34°C.

I would love to have your temperature right now. Here in Missouri it's 35 C. It's going to be 37 C on Monday. Our overnight low temperatures are around 23 C 😂

Wait! 24C hot? OMG, Thurston, that's just a wee bit over 75F. I call that nice balmy weather. :D Just a couple of days ago, it was 92 here in Michigan. That's 33.3C. Yeah, yeah I know that's nothing compared to the Southwest or what Maine went through these past few days. I did turn the AC on at 88F or 31.1C.

They are doing the same/similar thing in parts of TX w/ the skywalk system (only I THINK more below ground, maybe?) due to the HEAT, not the COLD.... but same type deal...

We had about 1 month and a half straight of 38° C weather and pretty much no rain all year where I live. Just this week we finally had two days straight of 25° C weather with probably a half inch of rain and it felt like a godsend lol

Iowa not only has corn, but we produce more corn(and ethanol) than anywhere else in the world except for ALL of China. We also lead the world in pork production. Pigs outnumber people 8 to 1. We've been voted best state to live in on more than one occasion (I'm still lost on that one, myself...) Norman Borlaug is from here along with a list of other famous and historically important people. Also, Casey's...😂

Alaska (eagle river) is exactly the same temperature 23c/72f with no AC(aircon) either. I agree it’s warm but not nearly as bad as Willow Alaska 26c.

I once ordered a pizza with half sausage and half cheese and the guy who took my order sounded like he was from Russia and I literally got a pizza with tomato sauce and sausage with no cheese on one half, and a regular cheese pizza on the other half. 😂 note to self, from now on order a large cheese pizza with sausage added to one half. 😊

24°C is pretty close to perfect weather actually.🤔 Here in SoCal its gotten to 35°C and that's not even too bad. The A/C is still able to keep up quite nicely so no complaints from me. When it gets to 46°C that's when it gets tough.😵💫

Columbus, Ohio has only ever gained population year over year. Its a good state for cost of living. Id imagine the net loss of population is due to retirees moving to Florida and people who want to be somewhere more interesting.
