This video features a motorcycle - the failed Savior of the British two-wheel market. A kind of stillborn Rolls Royce of the world of Motorcycles, of the highest quality and with a real devotion of fans.

Didn't think this was AI trash until the narrator kept assigning a gender to the motorcycle by selecting the wrong pronoun.

Weird means strange; Wierd is the misspelling of "weird".Weird is an adjective meaning "strange" or" awkward".

The real flaw was getting Weslake, a company that built air-cooled 500cc single cylinder speedway engines, to design and build the engine and gearbox. Speedway bikes don’t even have a gearbox. Let’s cut out the misty-eyed nostalgia here folks, the Hesketh was a piece of crap.

I was thinking "ahhh that's how Hesketh is pronounced". Until he said Velocity...

Without building at Japanese or German quality levels (which the UK was incapable of appreciating let alone attaining at the time, a trait is shared with US make HD) it would not have got far though it was a lovely machine. It also has two few cylinders and that era was a horsepower race with transverse fours winning. The once magnificent British motorbike industry killed itself thoroughly, with only Royal Enfield's India venture maintaining continuity with the original manufacturer.

Dual front wheelers ? Please consider doing a story on the Yamaha’s: Tricity 155, 300 and the BIG 2019 Niken ?

If it hadn't been for a fire that stopped production and destroyed the molds and tooling, the V1000 would be appreciated nowadays. Also interesting was the Vortan prototype which in some ways anticipated the design of the Ducati Monster.

I remember when these were going to be the next big thing. I’m not sure the angry chook in the coat of arms sends the right message. These could have been great! Would also have been better in 1200cc. 👍🏻

That AI narration needs work. Gender assignment to a motorcycle? Geez. Come on.

How boring the world would be without these small independent motorcycle manufacturers , btw the Vortan is borderline ugly just like Bimota Mantra ....

Seems a inexpensive price given the limited build.

I had the opportunity to see one of these real close. It is interesting, but it seems heavy and clumsy. I haven't had the opportunity to ride it or even to hear it run, so i can't really say how it rides....

Just to put you right only Brough Superior can use the Term Rolls Royce of Motorcycles Not the Hesketh
@ducedevlstear24712 ай бұрын
Nah, Brough was a sporty bike, not a luxury boat like Rolls Royce or Goldwing.
@kasperkjrsgaard14472 ай бұрын
@@ducedevlstear2471 But still, Brough Superior was the only brand who was given permission by Rolls Royce to use the terms “The Rolls Royce of motorcycles”! No other had permission to do that.

Closer to Ducati than Harley - except the very last Heskeths were made with S&S engines.
