When I visited the UK, I often ate sausage rolls (and also Cornish pasties), but we don’t have either of them available in the US. I miss them, since I’ve not been traveling abroad in the last few years, but fortunately I found a KZfaq channel called “What’s for Tea”, where the lady shows how to make a lot of traditional English and Scottish dishes, and she had a great recipe for sausage rolls. So now I make a batch every couple of months. I love them!

Cornish pasties are available in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and in mining towns in northern Minnesota, which had an influx of Cornish miners in the late 1800's. There are a few places in the Twin Cities (and at least one food truck) that make pasties, not sure if they are close to authentic.

I grew up in Arizona and there's a place in downtown Phoenix (and another location somewhere else, can't remember exactly where) that sells Cornish pasties called Cornish Pasty Co., so if you're ever in Phoenix and you're craving some Cornish pasties i'd recommend you check them out. As for sausage rolls, made some for the first time this weekend and they are really as good as people make them out to be.

I’m American, but I was traveling in the UK some years ago, and when we didn’t find many restaurants to choose from that we thought we would like, we just got pasties and sausage rolls and similar things you could find in grocery stores. I developed a real liking for sausage rolls and pasties, neither of which I can find in US. I still can’t find pasties without ordering them from very expensive internet sources who ship them refrigerated, but I found a great KZfaq recipe for homemade sausage rolls. I now make them frequently.

Australian here. Dying to try a Greggs Sausage Roll. I've heard a million great things about it from you Brits. We do have the iconic Four and Twenty Sausage Roll, but it's kinda fallen off in the last decade. Patties is the classic party sausage roll. If you want good sausage rolls here, you have to go to local cafes as they are usually homemade and super bloody tasty! Tomato sauce (not ketchup) is essential for sausage roll eating. I tend to enjoy BBQ sauce with a Spinach and Ricotta Roll though!

I was lucky to have a British MIL who showed me how to make them many years ago & have made them ever since (not only at Christmas) & have introduced them to other friends & family, everyone loves them. Being American tho, I have added a bit more flavor to mine over the years ...making some savory, adding diced onions, mushrooms to the sage sausage & others a slight sweeter version adding diced apples to the sage sausage. Oooh! Those are probably roughly the same thing as the Saucijzenbroodjes we have in the netherlands! Our pastry is usually as airy and crispy as those minis you had (unless they are old). The best ones in my opinion come from the restaurant at the Hema store. If you're ever here, go try them!

Yummmm, sausage rolls are popular here in New Zealand also, now I’m craving a sausage roll ....lol. Thanks Josh and Ollie for brightening up my days when you guys upload, never a dull moment with you guys, so happy and funny. Keep up the great work and have a Jolly good day. From this jollybean in NZ to you in the UK. Also Brie is super adorable.

I'm american and when I moved to the UK 5 years ago I was introduced to the entirely foreign concept of a sausage roll. The sausage roll is one of the redeeming qualities of British culture. They are fantastic, when I'm home, I crave them. I'm veggie and the greggs vegan one is just so Good
