That was funny what you said, you don't get "a charger with the phone nowadays" which reminded me how in the old days you book your flight and just GO. Now if you've extra baggage you got to pay, you need an extra blanket you need to pay, and while you're being cramped even more you would have to pay for any services even rebooking your flight 😅

Even if you opt to transfer your apps it does NOT transfer the data. I work IT for a bank and I get calls all of the time for people that have upgraded their phones either by choice or necessity for the Microsoft Intune or the PING ID authenticator. Just because the app transferred does not mean your password and other data did. I end up having to verify the caller's identity and having to remove the old device from the console and having them register again or for MS Intune I have to send a request to the security department.

I've just bought a new s/h Samsung and following this video has helped, just a shame that you never explained how to transfer files wirelessly. Fortunately I read @Davin Peterson comments regarding Samsung Smart Switch.👍

This should include logins of apps as well as bluetooth devices that we used on the old phone. Why are we having to re-sign in to apps and re-set up a pixel watch when upgrading a pixel phone in 2024?!?!

Recently got a Galaxy A13 ,it came with a charger and cable. I must be one of the few lucky ones it seems 😬 cause everyone said it doesn’t come with those two items. It was $140 so I said , I’ll give this phone a go anyway. Everything fine so far .

Just transferred all my stuff from old to new Cause I dropped old phone & was unusable But this vid helped, Only thing that never transferred was all my thumbnails for sites, They all are there but all in gray & can't open to use Any suggestions to get them sorted? 👍

My new $99 phone came with a charger and charging cable, but not the phone to phone cable you stated to expect. So nervous what other differences would cause problems trying your method.

Is there a difference between CLONING your phone, or making an IMAGE of it - and downloading a BACKUP from Google drive? I have an older and newer model of MOTOROLA: is there a software that will transfer EVERYTHING from one phone to another either wired or wirelessly? I tried SmartSwitch from Samsung, and SmartTransfer from some third party. So far, no success.

Since Google Photos/Videos are backed up in the Google Cloud, their is no need to store on your phone taking up space

I could not make out what you said concerning copying WhatsApp and all the data and photo/videos. How do you copy all of WhatsApp to the new phone? Is there a copy app that can copy all data from one phone to another? My old phone has many apps on an external SDcard not the internal storage. Is this method going to copy from the SD card as well?

First.... Do every update available, then do HARD RESET from recovery! Copy data from old phone to laptop/PC and copy only you need...

how to transfer albums from android to android while keeping the same order? phtos on old phone are distributed onto mobile storage and sd-card, whereas the new phone has only an internal storage (as you've mentioned in your notice for the new phones nowadays).. Thanx in Advance

So if you get a newer Samsung phone and you transfer all your old data and such to your new phone like say if you transferred Amazon app or Ebay app or any other app on your old phone will it still have all the stuff that you have acquired in your apps passwords loging in buying ordering stuff from your apps etc will that be possible

Needed a tutorial for the transfer AFTER the new phone has been set up. Like when you've selected 'remind me later'. Why is that option or help so hard to find?

Have my old phone, which has broken screen, so I can't get into it, however it still powers up. Tried to transfer info to new phone. It would not let me do it. I tried every way - wireless, cable, file transfer, etc. I even had my cell company on the line the whole time. It did however move most of my contacts, not all and some of my messages - none of my apps or cloud or pics will transfer even though I had them synced on google. I don't understand. I'm going from same cell company with same model phone but nothing will transfer. I've never had this problem before. I've had 6 phones in the past 10 years and I could always transfer, even with some phones being lost or completely broken and even moving to different cellular companies. I'm wondering if i should do a factory reset on my new phone and try again. Thanks for video. New sub here!

Absolutely does not transfer the apps. It creates a list of apps and installs them in the new phone but you have to go through each and EVERY app to set it up again and hopefully you remember your passwords and account data for those 100+ plus apps. Might as well not bother with it.

There's no usb-c to micro USB cable that exists, so this tutorial was useless to me. the instructions on the phone for wireless are also useless. It just tells me to launch the google app on the old phone and then somehow magically select the new phone from some non-existent list. Both phones are connected to the same wifi access point but nothing works.

Smart Switch is built-in so won't give me any other option but does not work as it won't connect even though both old and new phones are connected to the same network, so I can't transfer my data

I got a new pixel 6 too. I skipped this part when setting up the pixel. How can I go back to transfer data from my old S10?

I transferred everything over but when I turn the wifi off from the phone my mobile data doesn't come into play so I can't send anything without being on wifi

Just to clarify, the old phone needs to be booted up with the SIM card first to do this process and the new phone just turned on. The SIM card is removed from the old phone while it is on and inserted into the new phone while it is on. When the process is completed the new phone will function as if it were the old phone, right. Would I be getting alert messages that an unknown device is trying to log into my accounts etc. Do I need to resetup authentication apps. Please advise

My phones (both Android 9) did not ask to do any of this. All I could do is add my Google account to the new phone and the only thing that carried over is my contacts. Messages didn't carry over and it is not asking me to copy my apps over. Any idea why?
