Hello Lucy, I'm Kent Born ( Folkestone ) and have lived in that county as well as Surrey/Sussex. My Grandfather went to Oxford ( New College ) My voice is RP. Comfort is noun and verb so comfortable is adjective. In comfortable "able" is added to "comfort". So we should pronunce all the letters.

Hello Lucy. Can you please explain why there is a "b" at the end of "lamb" but not at the end on "ham" and why we pronounce the "w" in "Lerwick" but have a silent "w" in "Berwick". Thank you for your lessons.

I attended Loughborough University from 1991-94. Yes, my lecturers and local folks pronounced it the way you do, but British Rail's intercity service - as the train approaching the station - announced it as Lough-braa.

Most of schools in my country, refered to the how teacher's sounds and spelled, and the course taught things formally which is in the actual is differently spelled and mindset. As what I've been experienced, dealing with a British native. It's like a disaster to me then that it's like double works to figure them out. Just makes me sound robotic to use things formally to how human speak should be. And now I know that Schools teach us how to be a robot. Until I find Lucy with her British accent and other her great videos. It's a very helpful channel to learn speak British accent and it's enjoyable and friendly instead of school here with their robot accent.
