My nickname in high school when I worked at McDonald's back in the late 80s early 90s was "Cheese Lady" that was given to me by one of the cooks because I would order a McChicken with cheese, extra cheese on my lunch break. In my defense, when you ordered a McChicken with cheese they only put half a slice on it back then, so basically I was just getting a McChicken with a full slice of cheese on it. But the nickname sort of stuck. When I started dating my eventual husband our senior year one of the guys I worked with was in one of his classes and said "Oh, you're dating our Cheese Lady!" So until my hubby passed away in 2018 he would teasingly call me "Cheese Lady" anytime I was making any meal that had cheese in the recipe, which, I have to admit was quite often.

Foreign tourists eating themselves into oblivion in the US is similar to tourists in Germany drinking themselves under the table at Oktoberfest. It's just something that foreigners do when discovering things about your country that they're not used to and enjoying that difference a little too much...

This guy is kind of crazy. Nobody cares about speedos, drinking while shooting a gun is definitely frowned upon, and I can’t imagine any military person, while clearing a mine field, is going to lay down and make the equivalent of a snow angel!! One thing he is correct about is the number of flags on display. I happened to be thinking about this the other day so started counting flags…within one mile I counted 22 flags on houses and businesses. That didn’t even count the Operation Hero display that had at least 20 flags flying or the flags on every street pole that the town has on display. And by the way, melted cheese is the BEST!

They left off that in some counties alcohol is still illegal to sell anytime they are called "dry" counties. Its not illegal to possess or to bring back within a certain quantity from another county as it applies to the sell of alcohol. So just across the county lines of a dry county there will be numerous little stores say 100 yards inside the "wet" county selling alcohol. Also cheese, cheese, cheeese, bacon, bacon, bacon, cheese, cheese!

My favorite way to eat melted cheese is stuffed into a jalapeno chili and roasted. Slice a jalapeno into 2 pieces, remove the seeds, stuff cream cheese, or cheese of choice, into both slices, place on flat pan and bake in preheated oven, 350 degrees, until the jalapeno becomes soft and the cheese begins to melt. You can also roll the jalapeno w cheese in breadcrumbs and deep fry.

"we" is a questionable way of describing it. There are a few exhibitions that involve alligator-wrestling. It is not something to do on a lark. But since the US and China are the only countries with native alligator populations (and theirs are endangered in the wild), the US would be the only place to have such exhibitions.

@@thomasmacdiarmid8251 I stand corrected. The Seminole Indians did it before we arrived here. They do the gator wrestling shows that you speak of & are sparsely spread, or perform at Powwow’s, as well as some non native groups today both static & fairs. However, there is a sizable population of rednecks spread throughout the state, but also the other rural areas in other southern states. I can tell you that for many young men it is a “right of passage”. For many it’s barbecue entertainment. It is not legal without those permits & despite what tiktok portrays, rednecks are much much smarter than they appear and don’t film that, and post it.

Also “we” didn’t necessarily mean, “all Americans”. Also we have people catching catfish barehanded too. Not everybody does it. Not everybody plays football either. So when I say “we” I simply meant it is practiced here, and I don’t think anyone else does despite most developed countries having zoos with alligators, the only thing stopping them is desire. Only have I seen or heard of it here.

The giant food is only in competitions. We do have larger portions of food and larger cars but remember we have a huge country to drive through! 😂. In the South everyone has at least one rifle usually it’s been passed down in the family. My dad has a revolutionary war rifle, his father’s War World 2 pistol and rifle, and his Vietnam rifle and a pistol. He’s leaving them to his eldest grandson. Btw the ice in our drinks actually help us with our kidneys and prevent dehydration. In the South in summer you want cold drinks as the temperature can get up into the 90’sF. I wish our food had less preservatives. Most of us over tip especially those of us who know someone who works in the restaurant industry. Many Americans smile and are super friendly and I’ve. I’ve noticed people in the USA wear more colorful clothing than others.

In the land of dairy dreams, where curds and whey entwine, I declare my love for melted cheese, oh how it makes me shine. From bubbling fondue rivers to gooey pizza slices, Each molten moment is a symphony of savory spices. Gruyère, my muse, dances on my taste buds, Cheddar whispers secrets in its golden floods. And when brie embraces baguette, soft and warm, I'm lost in a cheese-filled reverie, free from all harm. So here's to the dairy delight that melts hearts, A love affair with cheese that never departs. Whether grilled, baked, or simply sliced thin, Melted cheese, my dear friend, you always win. By AI

No one says anything if you don't tip. No one cares. Everyones disposable income is down at the moment. Servers know that too. Anyone acting entitled to your money is undeserving of it. Everyone acts like you're robbing a server if you dont tip some rediculous amount because "they make less than minimum wage." Which they don't. That's a talking point that hasn't been the case in decades. Their official pay rate is lower than minimum wage because of the tips. But if they don't end up making at least minimum wage with the tips it's then the legal responsibility of the business to make up the difference. Actually illegal if they don't.

Ode to Cheese. In the glow of twilight's gentle ease, My heart swells for melted cheese. Golden rivers, creamy streams, Flowing through my deepest dreams. A symphony of warmth and taste, With each bite, there's no time to waste. The soft embrace, the stringy pull, Of melted cheese, my senses full. On pizza, nachos, toasted bread, A blanket for my hunger fed. In casseroles and fondue pots, A love like this is never bought. It stretches wide, it pulls me near, A comfort that's forever dear. In every dish, a heartfelt plea, For the magic found in melted cheese. So here's to cheddar, Swiss, and Brie, The joys they bring eternally. A love that's rich, and oh, so grand, In every melted, cheesy strand.

I am a new subscriber, only finding one of your channels about a month ago. And I just LOVE watching your videos. You are not only charming, but also entertaining. So, when I saw you talking about your newest channel (this one), I subscribed to it also on the very first day. I have heard you say you like reading our comments, hearing a little bit about us, etc.. I usually watch videos via my Fire TV, but can't use it to comment. I have to go into KZfaq via the internet in order to comment. So here goes: For the last 7 years, we've lived in Texas (a rural area an hour south of Dallas). Prior to that, we lived in a suburban area about 10 miles south of Denver, CO. Talk about a CULTURE SHOCK! We've also lived in Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach, FL. The Denver housing market is WAY high, but there are areas of Texas where the home buyer's market is still really low. So, that large house in TX you were so envious of may still be pretty affordable. For instance, we were able to sell our home in the Denver area getting a HUGE profit. The profit was so great that we were then able to buy a home here in TX on a one-acre tract of land with cash -- so we now actually really own this property, no mortgage at all. So maybe one day, if you actually move to the USA, we'll be neighbors! I know we Americans would welcome you with open arms. 🗽

Consider that most states get $500,000,000 to $2,000,000,000 a year in federal tax dollars for their highways. Also note how raising the drinking age from 18 to 21 didn't actually reduce drunk driving because driving drunk is dangerous at any age!

Unless the service was exceptionally bad, and you made the server aware of how bad it was and gave them the opportunity to address it. You _can_ tip as much as you want, but 15-20% of your total bill is the usual. If your bill is $20, then a good ≈20% tip would be $4. You can't buy Jack Daniels whiskey in the Tennessee county where it is made. The state of Tennessee never officially became "wet" after Prohibition ended in the 1930s, but the state allowed individual counties to vote to go wet or remain dry only if there were a certain minimum number of voters residing in the county seat. The county where JD is made has never *reached* that number, so under state law, they can't even vote on it. However, the Tennessee legislature granted a one-time permit some years ago to sell a commemorative bottle of JD on the distillery premises, but they can't serve you any. Pro tip: if you take the distillery tour and your guide likes you, they'll lift the wooden flap on the yards-deep charcoal mellowing column and wave it a few times so you can get a good noseful. 😜

Melted cheese rules. I'll put cheese in everything I can. 2 things about tipping. 1. You're going to pay for it either way. They raise wages then food prices go up to cover it. 2. Tipping guarantees better service a lot of the time. Some people take pride in providing good service but a lot don't. If they're getting paid no matter what then a lot are going to do as little as possible.

Portion sizes are the result of many restaurants being close together, so someone came up with the idea we will give a bit more food for your money as a means of bringing in the customers, and it quickly got out of hand. You know the old value for money thing.

The soda thing, and sanitization is not true. They come out of the dispenser just like soda, so there’s really no chance that they’ll touch the ice. Also, it’s very common to have free refills so the less product claim is also false.

Speaking of Heart Attack Grill, you should watch a video of that place. If you think the burger is extreme, you should see what they do with the fries and the milkshakes. That doesn't even go into the bottle of wine served to you in an IV bag or the fact that if you weigh above a certain weight, you get to eat for free.

Ice doesn’t water down the drink in the US…because you drink it before it does and get a refill…over and over. It also doesn’t melt as fast when there is a lot of ice. So you get more drink actually.

Melted cheese is absoultely amazing and belongs on any non-sweet food! As to the list, some of the things (ice in drinks, tipping, sales tax and using the American measuring system instead of the metric system) are factual. Others (like the being able to purchase alcohol and shoot guns at the same business) are more of a regional thing that would be considered very strange in other parts of the US. The giant food portions are just a gimmick that some restaurants use to get people into their restaurants to see someone take on the "eat all of this giant burger/steak and it's free" challenge. Hardly anyone ever "wins" that kind of challenge, and the few who do usually need medical attention afterwards, but people will come in to watch them try and will usually buy normal food and drinks to consume while watching, increasing the profits of the restaurant.

Growing up on a 200 acre family farm, Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is better than coming in from working in the fields in 100 degree heat for 16 hours and having a glass of ICED TEA, the more ice the better, so hence the love of ice, ice, baby!
